I followed your steps with your uploaded image with AppImage 19.04.3b.
Drag/drop the image to the timeline (don't change the project settings). Right

Unfortunately this is not solvable. When the user disables the zoom effect it

The Good:
Running Kubuntu 19.04 with a single desktop panel and 3 monitors, this is not
an issue most of the time. Some times some apps, such as Terminator and
