Fair point, that was a bad example. If I have several activities open and I'm
switching between two, because the list doesn't seem to update or merely
switching past an activity is enough to activate it

I found that the identities are located at ~/.config/emailidentities and
removing them from there seemed to stick but I also reset akonadi at the same
time so I don't know if that's the only requirement.
