Bug ID: 477302 Summary: Preferences window shouldn't be modal Classification: Applications Product: krita Version: 5.1.5 Platform: Ubuntu OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: Usability Assignee: krita-bugs-n...@kde.org Reporter: brunet...@gmail.com Target Milestone: --- SUMMARY I'm quite new to Krita (and I already LOVE it !) so I'm editing preferences a lot, especially keyboard shortcuts and pen tablet behavior. But this is very frustrating and time consuming not to be able to test a setting just after setting it without having to close the preferences window. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. want to change some keyboards shortcuts, for example zoom & pan 2. open preferences, edit the first shortcut (ex: zoom in) 3. I'd like to test this shortcut so I've to close this modal window 4. test shortcut and constat that it's not what you wanted 5. re-open preferences 6. re-open to "zoom canvas" section 7. edit shortcut This have to be done for every shortcuts used for zoom / pan OBSERVED RESULT It's very long and boring EXPECTED RESULT Non-modal preferences windows would allow me to test settings while I edit them (like any other softwares I'm using everyday) Thanks ! -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
