Sorry, but then a complete new installation of a distribution is needed, that
contain the latest KDE version.

There are many bootable partitions on my system.
So Debian 8 and 9 is installed parallel with KDE 4 and 5 both on the harddisk
and SSD.
Looking for the log ~/.local/share/sddm/xorg-session.log shows it has 0 Bytes
