So I was wrong. Adjusting the color scheme doesn't solve the problem. For now,
the solution seems to be to use the 'oxygen' decoration instead of 'breeze'.

I'm just now realizing the connection. It seems that the flickering only occurs
if I have specified in the color definition that the color of the active header
is the same as the background color of the window

to start edit filename in plasma-desktop, you can not use
'targetItem.label.paintedWidth'. It does not work for short filenames. :-)
