Thank you so much - you were correct. I had a look at my repos, and for some
unknown reason I had a Leap repo enabled and active, in my TW distro. I
disabled that, and it downgraded the kontact versions, when I did a z

Yes, if the symbols found at runtime don't match the ones used for building
these applications, they won't start.
the kcontacts version in openSUSE Tumbleweed is 5.63.0. If you still have
19.08.1, you need
