            Bug ID: 482224
Summary: Add ability to import PDF document to add a new page
                    into an existing PDF document
    Classification: Applications
           Product: Skanpage
           Version: 23.08.1
          Platform: Debian unstable
                OS: Linux
            Status: REPORTED
          Severity: wishlist
          Priority: NOR
         Component: general
          Assignee: a.stipp...@gmx.net
          Reporter: mar...@lichtvoll.de
  Target Milestone: ---

SUMMARY

Would be nice if I could load a PDF document into Skanpage in order to some
more pages to it at a later time.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Scan a few pages.
2. Save the PDF.
3. Quit Skanpage.
4. Scan another page into the existing document

OBSERVED RESULT

Cannot be done without merging PDFs with another tool or at command line.

EXPECTED RESULT

Load the existing PDF into Skanpage. Scan another page to add it to it.
Probably rearrange pages.

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS

Linux/KDE Plasma: Devuan Ceres with self-compiled 5.7.6 kernel.
KDE Plasma Version: 5.27.10
KDE Frameworks Version: 5.107.0
Qt Version: 5.15.10

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Bug 482223 "Skanpage does not detect temporarily disconnected scanner without
restart" inspired me to add this more generic report about adding a page to an
existing document.

I don't expect a full-blown PDF editor within Skanpage, but scanning another
page to add it to an existing PDF document would really be nice.
