That's not as useful as i was expecting ^_^
Can you make ark get to the same situation (i.e. showing the "broken image")
and then in a terminal run
cat /proc/`pidof ark`/maps &> ark_maps

1. I do not press [Open!], I press the file itself, which is like pressing
[Preview!].
2. There is no external program, it is Ark’s preview window.
3. It does not fail to open the file, it fails to display
