Thanks for your help. I'll focus on debugging gphoto2 for now since I cannot
connect to the device at all anymore, although for some reason yesterday I
could:

To investigate this kind of problem with libgphoto2, use the gphoto2 CLI tool
to detect and communicate with the Ios device.

non-PTP mode (the device digikam autodetects) isn't throwing any errors or

What version of iOS? I just tried PTP mode again and it can't connect to the
device at all. I'm on iOS 13.2.2.
