SUMMARY
STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1.Select jpg file(s)
2. Menu - Item - Edit Geolocation.
3. Paste GPS data- Apply- Apply
OBSERVED RESULT
In Digikam the pasted GPS data is visible. But, if I view properties of the jpg
file in a file manager or Irfanview, the GPS location is not there. Copied the
file to a Linux machine and viewed in Digikam and GPS data is not there.
Various file managers on the Linux machine do not show the GPS either.
So GPS must be stored in the Digikam that it was inserted in, but not being
saved to be visible by other apps or Digikam app.
I get the same result if I try from the Linux machine first also.
EXPECTED RESULT
Pasted and saved GPS data should be visible to any other app or file manager on
any machine.
