Bug ID: 467680 Summary: Add a Collections Dialogue Behavior Classification: Applications Product: digikam Version: 7.10.0 Platform: Other OS: Other Status: REPORTED Severity: wishlist Priority: NOR Component: general Assignee: digikam-bugs-n...@kde.org Reporter: gadams...@gmail.com Target Milestone: --- SUMMARY In digiKam version 5.9 and before, when I did Settings > Configure digiKam > Collections > Add a Collection, the dialogue would remember and open to the last place I had been = very handy = exactly the behavior I need. My next version was 6.4; in every version since, the dialogue always opens at the very beginning of things, forcing me to have to navigate through the entire folder tree to get to where I was just a few seconds before. If it is possible, and not too much trouble, it sure would be nice if the version 5.9 and earlier Add a Collection dialogue replaced the current one. Thanks. *** NOTE: If you are reporting a crash, please try to attach a backtrace with debug symbols. See https://community.kde.org/Guidelines_and_HOWTOs/Debugging/How_to_create_useful_crash_reports *** STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. 2. 3. OBSERVED RESULT EXPECTED RESULT SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Windows: macOS: Linux/KDE Plasma: (available in About System) KDE Plasma Version: KDE Frameworks Version: Qt Version: ADDITIONAL INFORMATION The way I have always used digiKam, I very frequently work in the Add a Collection window, adding new Collections and otherwise manipulating them; the old style Add a Collection dialogue worked a lot better for me.
