What version is that? I remember we recently touched exactly this, so perhaps
in 18.04 or in 18.08 this should be fixed.
For me, current master and a clean config is absolutely silent on first
startup.

Much better now. But still I see this:
mCurrentMainPageId == 'StartMainPageId'
when running it without arguments and closing it.
