Bug ID: 417730 Summary: Gwenview doesn't realise it's just opened an image from a "Tag" folder Product: gwenview Version: 19.12.2 Platform: Neon Packages OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: minor Priority: NOR Component: general Assignee: gwenview-bugs-n...@kde.org Reporter: tagwer...@innerjoin.org Target Milestone: --- SUMMARY: If you click on an image from "tag" folder, it opens the image in gwenview. If you then step through the collection of images with "Go to next image" or "Go to previous image", you step forward and back through the files in the filesystem folder STEPS TO REPRODUCE: 1. Create a couple of subfolders under ~/Pictures, say, 2020-02-10, 2020-02-11 2. Create image files in these folders, for example: ~/Pictures/2020-02-10/image1.png ~/Pictures/2020-02-10/image2.png ~/Pictures/2020-02-11/picture1.png ~/Pictures/2020-02-11/picture2.png 3. Tag image1.png and picture1.png with a tag "mytag", leave the other images untagged. 4. Open the tags:/mytag/ folder in Dolphin, click on image1.png and open it in Gwenview, then click on the "Go to next image" button OBSERVED RESULTS: The next image displayed is the (untagged) image2.png EXPECTED RESULTS: The next image should be next in the "Tag" folder, picture1.png SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS: Gwenview 19.12.2 from Neon 5.18 KDE Plasma 5.18.0 KDE Frameworks 5.67.0 Qt 5.13.2 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Gwenview _does_ understand tag folders. If you switch to the browse view and type "tags:/mytag/" into the folder field, you will see the selected files and the "Go to" buttons will take you forward and back though tagged images. The issue is that when opening Gwenview from Dolphin, it opens in the context of the filesystem folder. Not a regression, was checking this before 5.18 -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
