The reason I specified five packages is that they were the five packages common
to the upgrade on 5/27 and the downgrade today when I specified:
sudo dnf downgrade kf5-plasma --allowerasing
After the downgrade, focus is working again. So, the problem may lie in the
changes made to one or more of the five listed packages.
