            Bug ID: 467464
Summary: Why not merge Yakuake and Konsole?
    Classification: I don't know
           Product: kde
           Version: unspecified
          Platform: Other
                OS: Linux
            Status: REPORTED
          Severity: wishlist
          Priority: NOR
         Component: general
          Assignee: unassigned-b...@kde.org
          Reporter: fdelgado...@gmail.com
  Target Milestone: ---

I have been thinking for some time that why not join forces? In KDE there are
several similar applications like Konsole and Yakuake, or KWrite and Kate.

Each application has its advantages. The best thing about Yakuake is that it
opens by swiping from the top of the desktop with a keyboard shortcut.

As for Konsole is great its great customization, being able to configure almost
everything and the icing on the cake are its add-ons: its SSH panel and
commands.

If the idea is not liked, maybe Konsole features could be integrated into
Yakuake and vice versa, although I think having a single application would save
future maintenance efforts.
