Bug ID: 382605 Summary: Exported video has lag or stutter on 4k Product: kdenlive Version: 17.04.3 Platform: Archlinux Packages OS: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: Video Display & Export Assignee: j...@kdenlive.org Reporter: joel.gi...@gmail.com Target Milestone: --- When working with high quality photos for timelapse projects, once the video has been exported, the output video has a feeling of lag or stutter. As if several frames had been dropped. I've been using 5184x3456 JPG images to create timelapses. Ideally I try to use 4k UHD projects but more often than not (maybe 80% of the time) the video results in a lagged or stutter artifiact mostly at the beginning of the video. This unwanted playback diminishes at 2k (around 10%), and is not present at FullHD (1080). I have not made enough tests to decide if having edits (saturation, sharpen, curves) have a significant effect on the results above but I believe so. I can say that FPSs doesn't seem to affect this problem though. I have ~20 different set of timelapse photos to put together, I've been able to notice this pattern very consistently. Whenever the 4k attempt has artifacts I go down to 2k to go around it but it effectively means I'm not able to output reliable 4k videos. Not sure how to provide debug logs but will keep an eye on this in case someone can provide some instructions. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
