Bug ID: 476865 Summary: Creating a preset shadows existing preset name Classification: Applications Product: kdenlive Version: 23.08.3 Platform: Other OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: minor Priority: NOR Component: User Interface Assignee: j...@kdenlive.org Reporter: mashkal2...@gmail.com Target Milestone: --- Created attachment 163065 --> https://bugs.kde.org/attachment.cgi?id=163065&action=edit built-in preset missing SUMMARY I'm not sure if this is a bug or a feature, but creating a new render preset with the same name as an existing built-in preset succeeds, and replaces the existing preset in the menu. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Ctrl+Enter to open render menu 2. Render Project -> Presets -> Hardware Accelerated 3. Click Create new profile 4. Name it NVENC H265 ABR OBSERVED RESULT New preset is created, replacing the built-in NVENC H265 ABR preset in the menu. EXPECTED RESULT "Preset already exists" dialog appears, same as when shadowing the name of a user-created preset. I can see how this is a useful feature for power users - I certainly found it useful as a workaround for https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=476864, but it is unintuitive. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
