You generally do not need to explicitly uninstall before installing a new
version - but that might depend on your OS/Distribution. However, it should
not hurt to uninstall first, as that should not touch your data (make

Thank you for the speed in responding.
In fact, I realized afterwards that it was at the display level while the
missing transactions came from a hook. By correcting everything is back to
the way it was before.

The first thing I would suggest is to upgrade. 5.1.3 has been out for a long
time, and lots has changed since 4.8.0.
Second, what do you mean by "option B"? And are you sure transactions are
being deleted, or just not
