Bracketed-paste isn't a Konsole feature, it's a BASH feature (and has been
available for a very long time, it's just that BASH enabled it by default in
recent versions).

I had never heard of it until you mentioned it.

Thank you Felipe.
With your link to the commit, I made a quick patch to fix my problem, it
applies to konsole 20.04.1 and I'm able to paste into vim without double
spaces.

I came to this bug because it closely matches my observation.
In Konsole 19.12.3 there was a popup filter when pasting text into Konsole,
