            Bug ID: 408477
           Summary: Combining two text layers
           Product: krita
           Version: 4.2.0
          Platform: MS Windows
                OS: MS Windows
            Status: REPORTED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: NOR
         Component: Tool/Text
          Assignee: krita-bugs-n...@kde.org
          Reporter: johnridgwaydes...@gmail.com
  Target Milestone: ---

SUMMARY
I had text on two separate layers When I merged the layers I found I could edit
the individual pieces of texts. However, the text changes did not appear on
screen but the screen indication of the revised area was changed. I found that,
if the file was saved and then reloaded, the changes made were now shown.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Create a new document. And type a line of text. (Which produces a vector
layer).
2. Create a paint layer.
3. Create another line of text (producing a second vector layer)
4. Move the first vector layer to directly below second vector layer and merge
the two vector layers.
5. Modify the items of text (by splitting any of the two statements into two
lines.

I have tried to reproduce this on version 4.2.1. However, I found that on
merging the two vector layers they became a paint layer. I then found that it
was not possible to paint on that layer.
