I'm not using a blurry theme I use a transparent theme (Maia Transparent). The
blur is caused by the compositor (picom).
I've tried switching to the Breeze theme, and the blurred area below KRunner is

When results appear the blur below the window disappears. When I clear the
search box and the result disappears the blur never seems to come back.
I have yet to find a reliable way to reproduce this. So

I seem to remember, that there was supposed to be a shadow. Maybe that causes
the blur. How does it behave if KRunner displays results?
