            Bug ID: 364593
Summary: Crash on logout after Nvidia driver update
           Product: ksmserver
           Version: 5.5.5
          Platform: Kubuntu Packages
                OS: Linux
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: NOR
         Component: ui
          Assignee: l.lu...@kde.org
          Reporter: andy...@mail.ru

Whenever I update Nvidia drivers (as a package update, via Muon or apt-get),
invoking the logout/reboot/shutdown dialog results in ksmserver crash. Often it
is seen that the dialog is not drawn when the crash happens (i.e. the desktop
fades out, according to the logout effect, but the panel with the
logout/reboot/shutdown selection does not appear).

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. In KDE, update nvidia drivers to a different version. For example, you can
switch from nvidia-364 to nvidia-367 package or back.
2. Invoke the logout/reboot/shutdown dialog. For example, by pressing the
"Leave" button on the panel (the Lock/Logout widget).

Actual Results:
ksmserver crashes, the logout dialog does not appear.

Expected Results:
The crash should not happen.

Kubuntu 16.04 x86_64. Nvidia drivers 367.27.
