            Bug ID: 362898
Summary: KWin Zoom seems to "forget" settings
           Product: kwin
           Version: 5.6.3
          Platform: Other
                OS: Linux
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: major
          Priority: NOR
         Component: general
          Assignee: kwin-bugs-n...@kde.org
          Reporter: 86d...@gmail.com

The KWin zoom plugin has several mouse tracking modes, e.g. proportional,
centered and push. I use the push setting, although after a couple of minutes
it reverts to proportional by itself, and I have to change it back to push.
Though it starts to behave as if set to proportional, the setting still remains
at push, so to get it working properly again I have to set it to something
else, clic kapply, then set it back to push, then apply again.

This was tested with the Manjaro KDE 16.06pre3 LiveCD.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Press Meta and + to zoom in on the desktop. The view will now move
proportionally as the mouse moves.
2. Go into KWin settings, Desktop effects and the Zoom plugin, and set the
mouse mode to Push. Apply the setting.
3. Use the system normally for awhile, with Zoom enabled.

Actual Results:
The Zoom plugin will start to act as if proportional mode was set. It seems
something is resetting the setting.

Expected Results:
Whatever setting chosen should stay active unless changed.

My computer is a desktop with a Core i7-2500k and a Radeon HD 5850 GPU.
