Bug ID: 439029 Summary: Custom mount points in installer require a non-intuitive procedure Product: neon Version: unspecified Platform: Other OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: Live/Install images Assignee: neon-b...@kde.org Reporter: g...@pobox.com CC: j...@jriddell.org, neon-b...@kde.org, sit...@kde.org Target Milestone: --- Created attachment 139592 --> https://bugs.kde.org/attachment.cgi?id=139592&action=edit Screenshot of partitioner SUMMARY The partitioner will not accept custom mount points - that is, not from the dropdown list - without a non-intuitive procedure. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Run KDE neon installer 2. At the partitioner, choose manual 3. Select a partition 4. Type a non-standard mount point, e.g. /data OBSERVED RESULT The name does not "stick". See the screenshot, which was a second attempt to edit the existing entry by typing /data into the field. EXPECTED RESULT The name should go into the partition table. SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS KDE neon v5.22.1 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION To make the name stick, do this: Choose / from the dropdown list of names Put the cursor to the right of the / Type the remainder of the mount point name This is a minor bug but can be frustrating. The solution is not obvious and in some cases may cause the user to choose another distro. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
