When using the Install System program, you have the option to select which disk
to install the OS on. The option to erase the disk disappears if an OS is
detected on the disk. This may be a feature to prevent accidental wiping,
however there should be an 'advanced' checkbox which would give you the option
to wipe the disk. Thanks.
