            Bug ID: 356226
Summary: Regression - External monitor settings not remembered
           Product: plasmashell
           Version: 5.4.3
          Platform: openSUSE RPMs
                OS: Linux
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: major
          Priority: NOR
         Component: Multi-screen support
          Assignee: aleix...@kde.org
          Reporter: mlud...@logix.net.nz
                CC: plasma-b...@kde.org

I work with a few external monitors - the one at home is 90° pivoted, one at
work is not, projector is meant to be a mirror of my desktop, etc. In KDE4
these different configurations used to be remembered by KDE and the monitors
were properly configured as they should be upon plug in. I guess based on their
serial numbers or something like that.

Plasma5 however doesn't seem to differentiate and always tries to apply the
previous setting. That's particularly annoying since one monitor is 90° pivoted
and after switching between them I have to open "Configure Desktop" -> "Display
and Monitor" and try to navigate the mouse on the pivoted screen through the
settings - quite a challenge.

This is a regression from KDE4 and one single thing that seriously makes me
think of going back to an older distro.

Reproducible: Always
