            Bug ID: 358107
Summary: Assign a global keyboard shortcut to Application
                    Dashboard
           Product: plasmashell
           Version: 5.5.3
          Platform: Fedora RPMs
                OS: Linux
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: wishlist
          Priority: NOR
         Component: Application Menu (Kicker)
          Assignee: h...@kde.org
          Reporter: sud...@sudhirkhanger.com
                CC: plasma-b...@kde.org

A global keyboard shortcut for Application Dashboard would be very useful. In
my current layout I have a top panel with Active Window Control widget and
system tray. I mostly rely on keyboard shortcut to manipulate windows. AppDash
has to be added to panel to be usable. I don't see a lot of use of it if I am
not going to use the widget.

It would be very useful if AppDash can be triggered like KRunner. I think a lot
of folks already use Alt+F1 for AppDash's keyboard shortcut.

Reproducible: Always

Actual Results:
AppDash doesn't work unless added as a widget.

Expected Results:
Let AppDash be triggered without a widget solely using a keyboard shortcut like
Alt+F1.
