Everything worked as you described but there "bt" resulted in "No Stack.".
Is that because i didn't recompile the Plasmashell?

You can run Plasma itself in `gdb` and get the backtrace when it crashes. Do
this:
1. rungdb --args `which plasmashell` --replacein a terminal
window
2. Then type "run" and hit the return key
