Bug ID: 459363 Summary: System Monitor widget does not refresh/display IP address on system wake. Classification: Unclassified Product: plasmashell Version: 5.25.90 Platform: Other OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: System Monitor Assignee: plasma-b...@kde.org Reporter: lemuelsimo...@protonmail.com CC: ahiems...@heimr.nl, notm...@gmail.com Target Milestone: 1.0 Created attachment 152205 --> https://bugs.kde.org/attachment.cgi?id=152205&action=edit System Monitor widget doesn't display IP Address when system wakes from sleep. SUMMARY The text sensors of the System Monitor that displays any IP address (v4 or v6) will not refresh when the system wakes from sleep. On wake, the field will remain blank until the user manually triggers 'Edit Mode' and attempt to resize the widget. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Have a System Monitor widget with any IP Address displaying text-sensor. 2. Put system to sleep. 3. Wake system. 4. Observe, that the IP Address no longer displays. OBSERVED RESULT The IP Address doesn't show up anymore, but the Network Name (SSID) does. The IP Address will re-appear if the user enters "Edit Mode" in Plasmashell and grabs the edge of the widget to resize it. EXPECTED RESULT The IP Address sensor would refresh normally on wake.
