            Bug ID: 471077
Summary: icon-only task manager should display an indicator
                    when using META+N shortcut
    Classification: Plasma
           Product: plasmashell
           Version: 5.27.5
          Platform: Other
                OS: Linux
            Status: REPORTED
          Severity: wishlist
          Priority: NOR
Component: Task Manager and Icons-Only Task Manager
          Assignee: plasma-b...@kde.org
          Reporter: g...@section9.follonica.org
  Target Milestone: 1.0

SUMMARY
When pressing the META key icon-only task manager should display a number on
top of the task icons to indicate which number has to be pressed to activate
the respective application. Without this hint META+N shortcut can't be used
proficently.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Press META to activate an application positioned at number N in the taskbar.
2. You can't immediately guess the number to press, particularly if there are
many taskbar icons.
3. Count the taskbar icons from the left and then press the number N you think
represent the icon of the application you want to open.

OBSERVED RESULT
Immediately realize that the shortcut defies the purpose for which it should be
used, as it will need more time than simply clicking on the task icon.

EXPECTED RESULT
Pressing META+N to open an application from the icon-only task manager should
be an instant action.
