Bug ID: 429150 Summary: Font name fields doesn’t expand to show entire font name (even if there are plenty of space) Product: systemsettings Version: 5.20.2 Platform: Other OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: kcm_fonts Assignee: plasma-b...@kde.org Reporter: k...@huftis.org Target Milestone: --- Created attachment 133359 --> https://bugs.kde.org/attachment.cgi?id=133359&action=edit Screenshot of wide window but narrow font name fields with truncation SUMMARY In the fonts settings window, the text fields showing the font names are narrow, so they don’t show the entire font name, even if the settings window is very wide, with plenty of space available. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Open the font settings windows. 2. Change one of the fonts to a font with a long name (e.g. ‘Inconsolata Semi Condensed Bold’) (or change the font size to increase the physical width of the font name. OBSERVED RESULT The font name is truncated (see attached screenshot). EXPECTED RESULT The field containing the font name should automatically expand to show the entire font name (if the window is wide enough), or at least a large number of characters (e.g. 40). All the font name fields should have the same width. SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Operating System: openSUSE Tumbleweed 20201111 KDE Plasma Version: 5.20.2 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.75.0 Qt Version: 5.15.1 Kernel Version: 5.9.1-2-default OS Type: 64-bit Processors: 4 × Intel® Core™ i5-2500 CPU @ 3.30GHz Memory: 15.6 GiB of RAM Graphics Processor: GeForce GTX 1060 3GB/PCIe/SSE2 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION See attached screenshot. For the fixed with font, I use the font ‘Source Code Pro’ (a rather short name) at 14 pt, but only ‘ce Code Pro 14pt’ is displayed. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
