It can be reproduced that way, but also not every time (but it is pretty
frequent). No matter how I open Konsole (using global shortcut, from kickstart,
or from dolphin's Shift+F4), sometimes, but not always, either this bug or 100%
core CPU bug is triggered. This only happens on my PC with NVidia hardware.

Also, when the Konsole hogs 100% core CPU, it can be closed instantly by
issuing SIGINT (no need for SIGKILL) to the offending process.

I have used the button in DrKonqi to install debug symbols but that only got me
2 out of 3 stars so I guessed what else could be needed. The backtrace in my
report was generated with the following installed (although not all may be

During my testing of the new python scripting, I've found that there's almost
no access to the timeline/animation in the API. Ideally, there would be at
least methods for getting and setting the current time. 

The functionality of setting the time would be essentially the same as if you
had dragged the playhead in the timeline docker, updating both the canvas and
the timeline docker. It would also be nice if there were a time/frame change
signal to be able to hook into. 

Example code:
document = Krita.instance().activeDocument()
document.currentTime()
document.setTime(10)

My use case:
I was attempting to make an X-sheet docker, which would essentially just be a
table that allowed you to add notes to each frame, highlight the current frame
you're on, and navigate to a frame directly from the table.

Works for Gedit's plugins

Discover has the ability to display plugins for apps, as long as their
appstream metadata is set correctly. I'm attaching an image that shows it
working for Gedit.

If Kipi plugins got some AppStream metadata, we could do the same thing here,
and show Kipi-plugins as a plugin for Digikam, Gwenview, Spectacle, and other
KDE image manipulation apps.

It appears that during automatic recognition the default for unrecognised faces
is to put in one of two others from those already tagged.  

In my case this means that any face not recognised  (whether male or female,
colour or black and white image) is labelled either Chris Fearnley or Julie
Burford.

This happened on well over one hundred faces requiring manual correction.

I disagree, of course this will kill usability. Gwenview should not get a
spaceship cockpit like some other image viewers. There are actions which
currently are not present in the context menu which are more important than
this feature. We would have to add them first, and then the context menu would
be too crowded.

In general the context menu has the most important stuff, the rest lives in the
regular menu.

If it was added to the regular menu, you would have it everywhere.

I'm using Kile now for typesetting LaTeX.

Kile uses the Kate editor component, so I'm filing this here.

Available color schemes are very limited in their selection and moreover, they
are lacking in their LaTeX highlighting. In the KDE colorscheme, for example, a
lot of LaTeX reserved words, such as \item, \textit and others are light cream
on a white background. The contrast is extremely poor.

In general, LaTeX highlighting could be a lot better in the default color
schemes.

Searching in the Store produce a number or colorschemes but none is available
for LaTeX.

Initramfs announces an error that prints a non-existent swap file. Debian
installer has an inconvenient installation option to always format the swap
file. In Kali KDE and Kubuntu 18.04 deeloper edition, if the swap file changes
UUID iniramfs not changes, an error occurs. It's irrelevant that there is a
hibernation option in the menu, this error always occurs. The old swap file
UUID was registered to /etc/initramfs-tools/conf.d/resume. The UUID swap file
in the fstab file is correct.

I can confirm this issue and i DONT use focus follows mouse.

If i set focus stealing prevention > high laucher and caledar does not open. I
can see some frame of the animation sometimes.

The problem is that the system is more or less unusable though (because
kactivitymanagerd keeps restarting and crashing endlessly, and systemd-coredump
creates one coredump after the other), and the user won't see the output anyway
of course.

Similar things happen when the database gets corrupted btw, there were a few
users having that problem recently, e.g.:

That's the one from akonadi, which I happen to have installed.

libQt5Sql5-sqlite OTOH contains the standard one from qtbase, with that
installed it works (unless the database is corrupted or similar).

Tried V 5.9.0 as suggested. 
Scanning now works OK. 

But manual face naming, editing and auto face recognition are a disaster! 

Features that worked perfectly in V4.12 are now simply rubbish.  

I am building a list of problems and will submit as a bug under V5.9.

Files are moved into home folders .local/share/Trash instead of trashed into
the other filesystems .Trash-1000 directory. 
User ID is 1000 and is owner and group of .Trash-1000. 
Filesystem is BTRFS mounted on /media/videos.
In Gnome it works.
If .Trash-1000 does not exist on other filesystem it is created correctly
during deletion by Dolphin but still files are moved into .local/share/Trash.

Will it ever be fixed? It's longing circa a year! When I choose rendering
backend as XRender it's ok, but too transparent. Yes, I got nvidia card, but
this happened on Intel integrated adapter too.

I cannot reproduce the crash.  And I am using the Kubuntu backports PPA and
unfortunately PPA do not provide *-dbgsym packages :<.

One more important addition: I think that the second half of every frame is
just some memory garbage as I found in previous step. But you not supposed to
divide the frame size by two. The actual string where things go wrong is:

This is not the way how you should read the stereo data. Maybe the second
channel can be accessed with d->frame->data[1]? Not really sure, just guessing.

I was rather thinking that those files might be a consequence of the crashes
and the result of konsole not doing proper clean-up on exit.  

Do you know Which part of Qt5/KF5/plasma/konsole is responsible for the
clean-up of those files on session exit ?

I can confirm that this is still the case on master/trunk, as well as Debian

The dolphin location bar allows to specify a protocol via dropdown menu. This
unfortunately vanishes as soon as I start typing, e.g. if I select "webdav" and

I can't:

 - on Kubuntu 17.10 without backports shift+f4 does not open a window but
splits the dolphin window

 - on Kubuntu 17.10 + backports, shift+f4 does open a window, but closing it
does not lead to a crash (I tried 10 times)

Experimenting further I found that if the calculated buffer size returned by
av_samples_get_buffer_size() is divided by two then the resulting waveform
looks normal (no noise), but the sound is twice faster than it should be. So
now the question is how to slow down or stretch it. :D

When I right click in menu and choose Forget All Documents or Forget All
Applications nothing happens. It just blinks a couple of times and all my
recent apps and docs reappearing again. Before that my apps and docs randomly
flushed from time to time. This happened on plasma 5.12.2 and 5.12.3.

I have this NFS line in my fstab:

myhostname:/srv/nfs/RAID1 /mnt/NFS_RAID1 nfs
noauto,user,x-systemd.automount,x-systemd.device-timeout=10,timeo=14,nofail,x-systemd.idle-timeout=1min,rsize=32768,wsize=32768
0 0

When I exit of my house network, this NFS becomes unavailable. Dolphin does not
seem to have problems with this.
KDialog, however, completely hangs. E.g. I'm in Kate, I click "File -> Open"
the KDialog window appears, but I cannot click anywhere of it. Sometimes the
window will have only borders, no content. I can manually kill the window,
unmount the NFS share, and try again: it works.

Kdialog's Open File dialog should not hang if a mounted NFS share is
unavailable.

the data columns are not restored when opening your project. What happens when 
you select the x- and y-column correctly?
The fit parameter are using lower and upper limits for the values. Which values
for a,b,c do you expect for best fitting you data?
