[gwenview] [Bug 401154] New: gwenview should not change image colors if system-wide color management is enabled

2018-11-17 Thread Misha Aizatulin
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=401154

Bug ID: 401154
Summary: gwenview should not change image colors if system-wide
color management is enabled
   Product: gwenview
   Version: 18.04.3
  Platform: Other
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
  Assignee: gwenview-bugs-n...@kde.org
  Reporter: ava...@hot.ee
  Target Milestone: ---

I set sytem-wide color management profile via oyranos. Now images in gwenview
are oversaturated. What apparently happens is that gwenview applies the system
profile on its own, thus effectively the profile is applied twice. This is easy
to demonstrate by printing the screen.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
oyranos-monitor -d 0 "LG Display 1070 _xorg.icc"
open an image in gwenview
save the screenshot
open the screenshot in gwenvew - it is very different from the original, but
should be the same.

After several reboots, I finally had systemsettings5 show me file search, and
turning that off, and another reboot, seems to have stopped the indexer from
running.

The odd thing was that despite earlier doing balooctl suspend, balooctl stop,
and balooctl disable, and balooctl showing disabled, it was still running. Not
really sure what finally stopped it. Hopefully it wont just start up again by
itself.

Also fixed in 4.0 by switching to KAuth.

In 3.3 we still run GUI as root. We need to connect to either root DBus session

done until KAuth migration.

I have just seen this bug on Arch Linux with Dolphin 18.12 beta.
"Picture" folder was open, I pressed meta+printscreen to take a screenshot of
the active window. Dolphin did not show the screenshot until I pressed F5.

I can't reproduce such behavior all the time.

[digikam] [Bug 400981] Appimage not working anymore: /lib64/libfontconfig.so.1: undefined symbol: FT_Done_MM_Var

2018-11-17 Thread PhilV
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=400981

Actually in Fedora /lib64 is a link to /usr/lib64.
Therefore
LD_PRELOAD=/lib64/libfreetype.so.6 digikam.appimage
and
LD_PRELOAD=/usr/lib64/libfreetype.so.6 digikam.appimage
is the same.

Note that I need to preload libfreetype.so.6 (and not libfreetype.so as in your
script). libfreetype.so is not present on my system (but installable if I
install freetype-devel package. But devel packages are not present by default I
think -> your appimage is not usable by default with Fedora).

Add new generic sorting icons; rename existing sorting icons

Summary:
Add a generic sorting options icons as requested in {D12337} as well as version
with ascending and descending orders.

FIXED-IN: 5.53

The existing `view-sort-ascending` and `view-sort-descending` have been renamed
`view-sort-ascending-name` and `view-sort-descending-name` as they show
alphabetic characters to depict alphabetic sorting. The symbolic link
`sort-name` has been changed to point to `view-sort-ascending-name` (from
`view-sort-ascending`).
Their fallback colors in the embedded stylesheets have been updated to use
Shade Black and Cardboard White, respectively.

Test Plan:
The new icons:

| size | `view-sort` | `view-sort-descending` | `view-sort-ascending`
| - | - | - | -
|`16px`|{F6427148}|{F6428784}|{F6428785}
|`22px` and `24px`|{F6427153}|{F6428786}|{F6428787}

[kdeconnect] [Bug 400935] kdeconnect/sftp Can't browse files from Android

2018-11-17 Thread SP
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=400935

@Tom Chiverton - Yes, it is always annoying. As you noted, installing
Kdeconnect 1.3.3 either from binary or from source resolves the problem. When
I attempted to do so on my Fedora system using the GUI installer, Apper - it
failed due to dependencies - but worked from the command line. I had to
install around four packages. Perhaps the source file would be more straight
forward.

Hey richard,

as you already noted yourself this is a very similar if not same wish as
another wishlist report.

Unfortunately it seems that this is a very hard improvement that is not doable
at the current state because the backends are not threadsafe.

I hope someone will someday work on this issue.
If you are interested yourself feel free to contribute and thank you very much
for reporting this idea and trying to improve okular!

[okular] [Bug 400890] Touching file moves the view port

2018-11-17 Thread Oliver Sander
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=400890

It *almost* fixes the issue. Now, when I leave presentation mode the top of
the viewport is the bottom of the previous page, i.e., I can see the entire
grey horizontal stripe between the current page and the previous one. That is
perfectly fine.

However, when I call 'touch' on the file now, the viewport moves up just a few
pixels. I can now see the very bottom of the previous page.

Weirdly enough, I can then scroll up by calling 'touch' repeatedly. Every
'touch' moves the viewport a little bit upwards.

Hello Simone,

it seems that half the problem was fixed in newer versions.

You can resize the polygons and annotations now.

The wish that you can already see the shape as you draw it still exists.
I mark it as confirmed and wishlist so that if someone is looking into
contributing to okular can find it better.

Hey Jiri,

I can not reproduce this bug, I am also on two monitors.

If the bug still exists, could you post your setup and version of plasma, kde,
qt and okular in order to get an better overview?

Thanks for your help!

I could reproduce the described behavior while working on bug 400890. It has
actually the same root cause, and should be fixed with

Hey George,

I am on Kubuntu and okular 1.3.3.
Okular does not open tabs for me but new windows for each new document.

I am not able to open new documents in tabs, so it seems the behavior changed
since then.

Can you reproduce the bug in newer versions also?
Thanks for your help!
