[choqok] [Bug 400117] crash on exit
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=400117 --- Comment #5 from Brandon Taylor --- Upon running a version of Choqok compiled from source on GitHub, I can reproduce the bug on KDE neon in addition to bug reports filed relating to crashes when quitting Choqok on openSUSE Leap. However, the problem does not occur on quitting Choqok -- compiled from the exact same source code as before -- on Manjaro Linux. I can therefore hypothesize that this may not be a problem with Choqok itself; but rather, with some components of KDE implementations on openSUSE and KDE neon. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

I changed to Breeze for widget style and Breeze Dark theming. With this change I realized the issue was absent on standard Plasma panel/tasks plasmoid. I had already tried another user account (dormant for testing), on which the issue existed for Latte tasks. Did not test this with Plasma default panel/tasks. What I did to investigate: Deleted ~/.cache folder from TTY and logged in Updated to latest packages and rebooted Rebuilt latte-dock-git and relogin Checked with another (rarely used for troubleshooting) user. Here, after some trouble with latte-dock initial crash, the issue was absent. I checked that themes were Breeze default. Changed the theme and some settings to my "normal" account prefs. [kwin] [Bug 406180] KWin 5.15.4 hang regression on Nvidia Optimus
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=406180 --- Comment #30 from Luca Carlon --- Unfortunately not working properly for me on 5.15.4 and 5.15.5. When I switch the window, sometimes it works as expected, sometimes (more than 50% of the times) nothing happens and nothing changes on the screen (until the timeout occurs). However I can see an improvement with this patch: if I move the mouse pointer while the screen is stuck, the entire screen is refreshed immediately, displaying the scene in the proper state. If I keep moving the pointer with one hand and switching with the other, it seems to work properly. It seems like moving the pointer is forcing the refresh of the screen, which wasn't happening before. As a consequence, I couldn't reproduce the issue moving the window around. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[kwin] [Bug 406180] KWin 5.15.4 hang regression on Nvidia Optimus
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=406180 --- Comment #28 from David Edmundson --- >From Erik: "Alright, I think I see what the issue is. For context, on PRIME systems, since there isn't actually a display connected to the NVIDIA GPU, we rely on xf86-video-modeset, which drives the Intel GPU, to call to our driver after each vblank. However, it will actually only do so if there has been damage to the screen. So what I think we have here is QtQuick's thread waiting on this vblank signal before swapping buffers (since we set MaxFramesAllowed to 1), and KWin's main compositing thread waiting on the QtQuick thread. Since KWin isn't rendering to the screen while it waits, no damage occurs and hence this vblank signal is never sent. I think some timeout is what eventually gets things going again (after about 30 seconds). Does that make sense?" [digikam] [Bug 407311] ZIP File Windows Bundles
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=407311 --- Comment #3 from Stephen Leibowitz --- The file is very satisfactory. It is slightly more complicated than extracting a Zip, because tar and xz make it a two-stage process. But it is easy with the 7-Zip program. The PeaZip program can handle it with a little more effort. This is a big improvement over install/copy/uninstall or using Universal Extractor. Thank you. I am unfamiliar with the KDE bug process. Moved the code to set VSCR[NJ] to the assembly routines for ppc64le, ppc64be, ppc32. Tested on P8 LE, P8 BE, P9. Manually verified the assembly code will jump to .invariant_violation if the VSCR[NJ] bit is set to 1 by replacing the "mfvscr 7" instruction with some instructions that sets contents of register v7 to 0x01 which is what the value would be if the NJ bit is set. Too bad, when you have a lot in tags, as the names of files and folders it becomes blocking. cordially Bonjour L'exportation vers GOOGLE PHOTOS fonctionne bien. Par contre les caractères accentués ne sont pas transmis correctement à Google Photos et ils sont tous remplacés par des espaces. Dommage, lorsqu'on en à beaucoup autant dans les tags, que les noms de fichiers et dossiers cela devient bloquant.
