[choqok] [Bug 400117] crash on exit

2019-05-08 Thread Brandon Taylor
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=400117

Upon running a version of Choqok compiled from source on GitHub, I can
reproduce the bug on KDE neon in addition to bug reports filed relating to
crashes when quitting Choqok on openSUSE Leap. However, the problem does not
occur on quitting Choqok -- compiled from the exact same source code as before
-- on Manjaro Linux. I can therefore hypothesize that this may not be a problem
with Choqok itself; but rather, with some components of KDE implementations on
openSUSE and KDE neon.

2019-05-08 Thread Petros
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=407351

After more research (and guessing...) I find the issue might be related to
fonts.
I was using a custom font (Lato), downloaded and manually installed via System
Settings - Fonts.
Changing font to "Liberation Sans" (or other "known" font) changes the issue to
something else, not sure it's fixed.
Now the "broken" line shows "O..." (capital O with 3 dots, like truncation). I
can assume it's the 1st letter of the same text string (On ).

As I said I am not sure this is related/fixing, until new feedback/replication.
Thanks.

[lattedock] [Bug 407351] New: i18n ARGUMENT MISSING in task preview window

2019-05-08 Thread Petros
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=407351

Bug ID: 407351
Summary: i18n ARGUMENT MISSING in task preview window
   Product: lattedock
   Version: git (master)
  Platform: Manjaro
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: application
  Assignee: mvourla...@gmail.com
  Reporter: psamar...@gmail.com
  Target Milestone: ---

SUMMARY
On Tasks thumbnails, the 2nd text line (normally shows "On DESKTOP_NAME") says:

On %1(I18n ARGUMENT MISSING)

I was using kvantum for widget style and Materia Dark theming.
I changed to Breeze for widget style and Breeze Dark theming.
With this change I realized the issue was absent on standard Plasma panel/tasks
plasmoid.
I had already tried another user account (dormant for testing), on which the
issue existed for Latte tasks. Did not test this with Plasma default
panel/tasks.

What I did to investigate:

Deleted ~/.cache folder from TTY and logged in
Updated to latest packages and rebooted
Rebuilt latte-dock-git and relogin
Checked with another (rarely used for troubleshooting) user. Here, after
some trouble with latte-dock initial crash, the issue was absent. I checked
that themes were Breeze default. Changed the theme and some settings to my
"normal" account prefs. Then the issue appeared as well. Reverting the theming
at the previous settings did not make the issue go away...
Checked at KDE bugs with the text "i18n_argument_missing" and nothing
similar found.
Created topic at Manjaro Forum for more feedback
(https://forum.manjaro.org/t/i18n-argument-missing-in-task-preview-window/86613)

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Set Tasks to show thumbnails on hover
2. Hover over a running task

OBSERVED RESULT
2nd text line shows: "On %1(I18n ARGUMENT MISSING)"

EXPECTED RESULT

2nd text line shows: "On "

[digikam] [Bug 406594] Interface becomes irresponsive for a while after editing metadata in search panel.

2019-05-08 Thread IWBR
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=406594

I've been using digikam for the last few days, and this problem is no longer
present. Changes made when pictures are listed in the Search panel are applied
immediately as would be in any other panel.

This is valid at least for digikam-6.2.0-git-20190502T153144-qtwebkit-x86-64.

If it's up to me, this bug report can be closed.

[kwin] [Bug 406180] KWin 5.15.4 hang regression on Nvidia Optimus

2019-05-08 Thread Luca Carlon
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=406180

Unfortunately not working properly for me on 5.15.4 and 5.15.5.
When I switch the window, sometimes it works as expected, sometimes (more than
50% of the times) nothing happens and nothing changes on the screen (until the
timeout occurs). However I can see an improvement with this patch: if I move
the mouse pointer while the screen is stuck, the entire screen is refreshed
immediately, displaying the scene in the proper state. If I keep moving the
pointer with one hand and switching with the other, it seems to work properly.
It seems like moving the pointer is forcing the refresh of the screen, which
wasn't happening before. As a consequence, I couldn't reproduce the issue
moving the window around.

[kdenlive] [Bug 407346] New: Zone renders with clicks and pops

2019-05-08 Thread Peter
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=407346

Bug ID: 407346
Summary: Zone renders with clicks and pops
   Product: kdenlive
   Version: 19.04.0
  Platform: Gentoo Packages
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: Video Display & Export
  Assignee: j...@kdenlive.org
  Reporter: pe...@corrosivetruths.org
  Target Milestone: ---

SUMMARY
Rendering a full project works fine, but rendering a zone instead corrupts the
audio.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Obtain a simple audio file (I used a sine wave flac generated from audacity)
2. Start a new project (mine was 1080@60)
3. Import the sine wave and drag to the timeline
4. Add an in and out point (mine were 12s15f and 59s37f)
5. Hit render and select WAV, select selected zone instead of Full project
6. Hit render to file

OBSERVED RESULT
Rendered file is the portion of the original sine with but with clicks and pops
at the beginning and end of the clip.

EXPECTED RESULT
A portion of the original sine wave.

[kwin] [Bug 406180] KWin 5.15.4 hang regression on Nvidia Optimus

2019-05-08 Thread David Edmundson
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=406180

>From Erik:

"Alright, I think I see what the issue is. For context, on PRIME systems, since
there isn't actually a display connected to the NVIDIA GPU, we rely on
xf86-video-modeset, which drives the Intel GPU, to call to our driver after
each vblank. However, it will actually only do so if there has been damage to
the screen. So what I think we have here is QtQuick's thread waiting on this
vblank signal before swapping buffers (since we set MaxFramesAllowed to 1), and
KWin's main compositing thread waiting on the QtQuick thread. Since KWin isn't
rendering to the screen while it waits, no damage occurs and hence this vblank
signal is never sent. I think some timeout is what eventually gets things going
again (after about 30 seconds). Does that make sense?"

A possible patch is here: https://phabricator.kde.org/P385 could someone try
it?

[frameworks-baloo] [Bug 407342] New: crashes under Plasma / FreeBSD fresh install

2019-05-08 Thread Sylvain
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=407342

Bug ID: 407342
Summary: crashes under Plasma / FreeBSD fresh install
   Product: frameworks-baloo
   Version: 5.56.0
  Platform: FreeBSD Ports
OS: FreeBSD
Status: REPORTED
  Keywords: drkonqi
  Severity: crash
  Priority: NOR
 Component: Baloo File Daemon
  Assignee: baloo-bugs-n...@kde.org
  Reporter: kde.s...@0sg.net
  Target Milestone: ---

Application: baloo_file (5.56.0)

Qt Version: 5.12.1
Frameworks Version: 5.56.0
Operating System: FreeBSD 12.0-RELEASE-p3 amd64
Distribution (Platform): FreeBSD Ports

-- Information about the crash:
- What I was doing when the application crashed:
logging in

This first happened a couple times (also on logging in) with
"/usr/local/bin/kdeinit5" supposedly missing - I couldn't find if there was a
package to install to solve this as suggested.
Here's the bug report from this first bug. I have installed the kde5
meta-package from the binary packages (not the ports tree).
Now with baloo (automatic bug report, second bug)

[digikam] [Bug 407311] ZIP File Windows Bundles

2019-05-08 Thread Stephen Leibowitz
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=407311

The file is very satisfactory. It is slightly more complicated than extracting
a Zip, because tar and xz make it a two-stage process. But it is easy with the
7-Zip program. The PeaZip program can handle it with a little more effort. This
is a big improvement over install/copy/uninstall or using Universal Extractor.
Thank you.

I am unfamiliar with the KDE bug process. The status should be changed to

[khelpcenter] [Bug 407341] New: Add File -> Properties dialog to show meta information of the shown help pages

2019-05-08 Thread David Hurka
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=407341

Bug ID: 407341
Summary: Add File -> Properties dialog to show meta information
of the shown help pages
   Product: khelpcenter
   Version: 5.7.3
  Platform: Neon Packages
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
  Assignee: kde-doc-engl...@kde.org
  Reporter: david.hu...@mailbox.org
  Target Milestone: ---

SUMMARY
When reading some help pages in KHelpCenter, it remains unclear, where these
help pages are located on the hard disc. Although this information usually
doesn’t “help”, it might be interesting.

I suggest to add a dialog File -> Properties, which gives this information (and
maybe other meta information) about the currently shown help pages.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Try to generate and open help pages
2. KHelpCenter opens some help pages
3. You want to know what exactly was opened

EXPECTED RESULT
File -> Properties (or similar) gives this information.
 - URL(s) of the loaded help pages
Other suggestions
 - When/How generated/compiled
As reference, look at File -> Properties in Okular

add support for vlogefp, vexptefp instructions

Currently, valgrind recognizes the vlogefp, vexptefp instructions but errors
out on them as they are not actually supported.

The attached patch adds the needed support

Julian, please review the patch as it adds a new Iop to file
VEX/pub/libvex_ir.h

+ /* Vector floating-point exponential 2^x */
+ Iop_Exp2_32Fx4,

Please let me know if the name of the new Iop is OK. The Iop is calculates the
value 2 raised to the X for each of the 32-bit words in the vector.

Please let me know if you see any other issues with the patch as well. Thanks.

Created attachment 119918
  --> https://bugs.kde.org/attachment.cgi?id=119918=edit
Updated patch to fix issues with dnormal values v3

Updated the patch. Moved the code to set VSCR[NJ] to the assembly routines for
ppc64le, ppc64be, ppc32. Tested on P8 LE, P8 BE, P9. Manually verified the
assembly code will jump to .invariant_violation if the VSCR[NJ] bit is set to 1
by replacing the "mfvscr 7" instruction with some instructions that sets
contents of register v7 to 0x01 which is what the value would be if the NJ
bit is set.

The routine dnormV32_adj() was rewritten to use vector Iops. Fixed a couple of
bugs that I found in retesting the patch.

> I cannot reproduce. What GPUs are present in openQA?

The VM is configured with virtio.

According to openQA, the failures started between 4725ece60 and 559c2e68d and
559c2e68d34309eaeed0f8d25204789522058a12 even touches the crashing codepath. So
it's likely that commit introducing the crash.

Loading an ssh private key with ssh-agent does not solve the issue as assumed
by me - releaseme ignores ssh-agent completly.

[okular] [Bug 407338] New: Okular segfaults when opening a file digitally signed with portablesigner and Acrobat Reader

2019-05-08 Thread Ángel de Vicente
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=407338

Bug ID: 407338
Summary: Okular segfaults when opening a file digitally signed
with portablesigner and Acrobat Reader
   Product: okular
   Version: 1.7.0
  Platform: Archlinux Packages
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED

Digitally signed documents (one gives the segmentation fault)

SUMMARY

I use the code portablesigner to digitally sign a document, and Okular can read
the generated document no problem (see example sample-sig.pdf attached).

My colleagues, who uses ADOBE Acrobat Reader DC Version 2019.010.20099 in a Mac
signs the same document, and Okular can read it no problem (see example
sample_victor.pdf attached).

But if he signs the file previously signed by me (so as to have it signed by
both of us), then Okular segfaults when trying to open the file (see example
sample_sig_victor.pdf).

This might not be a problem specific to Okular, since trying to see the
signatures with pdfsig (v. 0.76.1), also segfaults:

Hello
The export to GOOGLE PHOTOS works well. However, accented characters are not
passed to Google Photos correctly and are all replaced by spaces.
Too bad, when you have a lot in tags, as the names of files and folders it
becomes blocking.

Bonjour
L'exportation vers GOOGLE PHOTOS fonctionne bien.
