https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=407515

Potentially related : https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=92132

Though after applying the workaround checking the environment of kwin_wayland
still does not have the correct XDG_DATA_DIRS.

I investigated /usr/share/sddm/scripts/wayland-session and realised that it
doesn't actually source zshrc. Once I made it source zshrc, everything works
properly.

I also noticed that for the XSession Neon ships a /etc/X11/Xsession.d/20flatpak
which is probably what makes it work on X11.

Fix logic of the stroke lifetime in QMic

We shouldn't try to end the same stroke multiple times. The patch
also makes sure KisProcessingApplicator is owned by a scoped pointer
instead of manual handling.

[plasmashell] [Bug 407599] New: Badly rendered text in certain parts of builtin and 3rd-party apps

2019-05-16 Thread Paul Medynski
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=407599

Bug ID: 407599
Summary: Badly rendered text in certain parts of builtin and
3rd-party apps
   Product: plasmashell
   Version: 5.15.4
  Platform: Kubuntu Packages
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
  Assignee: k...@davidedmundson.co.uk
  Reporter: p...@medynski.ca
CC: plasma-b...@kde.org
  Target Milestone: 1.0

Created attachment 120105
  --> https://bugs.kde.org/attachment.cgi?id=120105=edit
Screenshot of badly rendered text

SUMMARY

In some places in some apps (both builtin and 3rd-party), the text is rendered
incorrectly such that the UI shows text inflated, pixelated, and floating
outside its intended place. Also, clicking on actionalble text reveals that
the UI _thinks_ the text is being rendered where intended even though it is
rendered elsewhere. Some text entry fields contain default text that suffers
from this problem. In these cases, the default text is floating somewhere
below and to the right of the field, and when I type in the field, the text
appears floating down and to the right as well.

It's as if the UI layout is occurring correctly, but the actual drawing of the
text in some cases has it's (x,y) coordinates multiplied by some factor.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Launch System Settings.
2. Choose Multimedia -> Audio Volume

OBSERVED RESULT

See screenshot.

EXPECTED RESULT

Text is rendered correctly, where the UI layout intends, and at the correct
size.

Qt Version: 5.12.2

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

The problem persists regardless of what font sizes or DPI I choose.

[plasma-nm] [Bug 407596] New: Unable to enter password or OTP during connection to fortissl vpn

2019-05-16 Thread bugzilla_noreply
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=407596

Bug ID: 407596
Summary: Unable to enter password or OTP during connection to
fortissl vpn
   Product: plasma-nm
   Version: 5.15.5
  Platform: Archlinux Packages
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
  Severity: crash
  Priority: NOR
 Component: applet
  Assignee: jgrul...@redhat.com
  Reporter: stanisl...@null.net
  Target Milestone: ---

SUMMARY
I am unable to enter password or OTP during connection to fortissl vpn. The
window prompt for password or OTP is to shown and the log contains error
"Failed to request VPN secrets #3: No agents were available for this request.".
I have no problem with wifi profiles where prompt for password is correctly
shown. Also it results to crash of kded5 process.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. create profile for fortissl vpn
2. set password policy to always ask for the password
3. try to connect to this profile

OBSERVED RESULT
The prompt for the password is not shown and the connection is unsuccessful.
The same applies for OTP prompt if the password is stored and does not to be
entered.

EXPECTED RESULT
It should be possible to enter password (or OTP) during the connection -
password popup window should be presented.

[krita] [Bug 407595] New: Pen -> Mouse switching shows mouse draw failure

2019-05-16 Thread Ahab Greybeard
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=407595

Bug ID: 407595
Summary: Pen -> Mouse switching shows mouse draw failure
   Product: krita
Version: nightly build (please specify the git hash!)
  Platform: Debian stable
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
  Severity: minor
  Priority: NOR
 Component: tablet support
  Assignee: krita-bugs-n...@kde.org
  Reporter: ahab.greybe...@hotmail.co.uk
  Target Milestone: ---

SUMMARY
This problem happens with appimages and does not happen with Windows builds.
It has been observed with a Debian 9 (Stable, fully updated) system using a
Wacom Intuos Paint tablet (CTH 490/K).
It's inconvenient but it's not a major problem. It happens on Debian 10
(Testing but under full freeze) in a different way as noted below.
This was tested with the 4.1.7 appimage and the latest (15th May) 4.2 alpha
appimage and Windows versions.

When changing from drawing with a pen to drawing with a mouse, the mouse does
not draw and the brush profile outline does not track the cursor. The cursor
must be moved off the workspace and then back to the canvas, as a 'recovery
method' in order to get the brush outline moving. After the cursor moves off
the workspace, the brush outline tracks the cursor as it returns to the
workspace. A single mouse click is needed (on the workspace border area or the
canvas) to get the mouse drawing again. Further, a mouse click before moving
off the workspace will result in that extra single mouseclick not being needed
after the cursor is brought back onto the canvas.
Other tools such as line tool, colour picker and selection tools show the same
mouse action failure and 'recovery method' characteristics.

Note: With the 4.1.7 appimage, the additional mouse click is not required to
enable drawing with the mouse after tracking has been recovered in the way
described above.

In Debian 10, the brush tracks the mouse after switching but a click on the
canvas is needed before it will draw.

In ADDITIONAL INFORMATION, tablet tester outputs for stylus to mouse transition
are shown for different krita versions and different operating systems. They
are all different.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Create a new image and zoom out a little to show a border area (for
convenience). Use the pen and Freehand Brush to draw with any brush preset.
Remove the pen from the tablet area.
2. Move the mouse and attempt to draw. Note the lack of drawing and lack of
brush outline response to the cursor.
3. Move the mouse off the workspace, e.g to an adjacent docker or the toolbar.
Note the brush profile outline will be removed from the canvas and will now
track the cursor as it returns to the workspace and the mouse will not draw on
the first attempt unless it is clicked on the workspace border or canvas area
first.
4. Also note that switching to drawing with a pen at any stage does not show
any problems but then switching back to the mouse repeats the mouse drawing
problem situation.

OBSERVED RESULT
As noted in STEPS TO REPRODUCE above.

EXPECTED RESULT
The mouse should be able to draw on the canvas after use of the pen.

Oh $@"§! my bad!

This was noticed and fixed already but I overlooked that the commit that
introduced this problem was part of the release branch and the commit that
fixed the problem was not.

Thank you very much for reporting it. It will be fixed in the next release.
I've just commited the fix to the Application 19.04 branch.

For the record:
This was introduced with rev. 594c5f96d
Fixed in master with rev. bf9aab0b
Now fixed in Applications/19.04 with rev. 2e5b420

[frameworks-krunner] [Bug 407518] krunner on fedora30 crashes

i just upgraded to kf5 5.58.0-1 (updates-testing repo)
This solved other problems (global shortcuts not available) but not this
specific krunner problem. Symptoms are still the same

I also updated another machine (both running intel graphics) which is still on
fedora29, but also has the 5.58 kf5 update
Here, the krunner seems to run fine

One difference i noticed is qt5-qtbase, which on fedora29 is still on 5.11.3,
fedora30 already has 5.12.x

For users like me, familiar with other OSes and switching between them on a
daily basis, "Zaniechaj" (Cancel) looks really similar to "Zastosuj" (Apply)
which several times made me click on the button and get unexpected behavior -
discarding all my work instead of applying it.

As for now, I've uninstalled kde-i18n-pl because of that.

I tried to find a fix, but I didn't find a way fast enough. I don't use cmake
or Qt in development.

This time it was a 48-core, possibly heavily loaded at that moment. Even so, I
inspected many builds on the farm and it's happened only once, so I certainly
don't consider it an important bug, as re-trying will probably help.

Committed on 16/05/2019 at 09:44.

Fix using tablet on QML widgets

In previous versions of Qt (wintab impeplementation) the events were
marked by Qt::MouseEventSynthesizedBySystem flag only when they were
synthesized from touch, not from tablet events. This is what
QWindowsTabletSupport does and what QQuickWindow expects (it
filters out all synthesized events). This patch recovers the old behavior
for the new QWindowsPointerHandler tablet API implementation.

If using "Centered Page" behavior, I think it would make sense to keep current
behavior (floor(center_float)) when pages are over 1 screen tall.

floor(center_float): we properly switch to `currently visible page +- 1 page`.

round(top_float): If over half the current page is off-screen, we will switch
to `current page or +2`, which is confusing.

[valgrind] [Bug 407589] New: [Linux] Add support for C11 aligned_alloc() and GNU reallocarray()

2019-05-16 Thread Yann Droneaud
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=407589

Bug ID: 407589
Summary: [Linux] Add support for C11 aligned_alloc() and GNU
reallocarray()
   Product: valgrind
   Version: unspecified
  Platform: Other
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
  Severity: wishlist
  Priority: NOR
 Component: memcheck
  Assignee: jsew...@acm.org
  Reporter: y...@droneaud.fr
  Target Milestone: ---

According to
http://www.valgrind.org/docs/manual/mc-manual.html#mc-manual.together

"Memcheck intercepts calls to malloc, calloc, realloc, valloc, memalign, free,
new, new[], delete and delete[]"

It should be noted Valgrind has support for more calls than listed in
documentation, namely:

- posix_memalign()
- pvalloc()
- valloc()

But it doesn't have explicit support for C11 aligned allocation function:

- void *aligned_alloc (size_t alignment, size_t size);

  http://man7.org/linux/man-pages/man3/reallocarray.3.html

And GNU reallocate array function:

- void *reallocarray (void *ptr, size_t nmemb, size_t size);

  http://man7.org/linux/man-pages/man3/reallocarray.3.html
