I can confirm this, but at least for me the problem only happens if I supply a

Linux Mint 19 seems to use Ubuntu 18.04 packages, so it looks like a
   problem
with theming Qt5 buttons in Cinnamon.

Could you please ask in a forum of your distribution if Mint ships a
   Qt
platform integration plugin for Cinnamon? If not, you might need to
   install and
setup "qt5ct" to select a different Qt widget style, such as "Fusion".

Bug ID: 408322
Summary: Border Size Adjustment Issues With KDE Plasma Version

   Product: plasmashell
   Version: 5.12.8
  Platform: openSUSE RPMs

Status: REPORTED

This screen snapshot is the Configure Desktop > System Settings > Application
Style > Window Decorations > Look and Feel of Windows Titles.

SUMMARY

I am currently using KDE Plasma Version 5.12.8, which was included with
OpenSUSE Leap 15.0 Distribution. There seems to be an issue I am having with
adjusting the Window Border Size in the Configure Desktop > System Settings >
Application Style > Window Decorations > Look and Feel of Window Titles. The
issue is the Window Board Size is stuck to "Huge" and will not change back to
"Normal" size after clicking on the "Apply" button, clicking on the "Reset"
button or clicking on the "Defaults" button of this window. Even if I logout of
the KDE Plasma Desktop, the Window Border Size doesn't update after changing
the Window Border Size setting.

Note: the Border Size setting is set to "Normal" and the Border Size in this
screen snapshot appears to be normal border size but it actually was huge on my
computer screen.

I will include another snapshot later with more detailed example.

2019-06-04 Thread vanyossi
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=408320

Precisely! those presets are not activated by default since they were part of
the default presets for 3.x series. Kirta 4.x uses new presets to work better
with how the program is evolving, however, some people love 3.x presets so we
keep them around but not in an active form. All krita 4.x presets names are
prefixed by a letter and a closing parenthesis: like "a)" or "d)"

The manual is never writen from scratch for every version, we probably missed
updating that part to use Krita 4.x default presets.

Probably because those brushes are part of krita 3.x series default brushes.
Those are included by default but AFAIK not activated.

Go to: Settings > Manage Resources
In the window it opens you can activate or deactivate bundles. If Krita 3
default resources is under inactive Bundles (which is probably true), select it
and press the arrow pointing left to activate it. (The arrow is inbetween the
active and inactive panels). Press Ok. if the brushes are not loaded after
that, just restart Krita. The brushes should be active now.

[krita] [Bug 408260] selection, brush, reset krita

2019-06-04 Thread vanyossi
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=408260

This only happens if using selection display mode as outline and tool option to
add. But this is expected. To avoid this, a workaround: change the selection
display mode to Mask, this avoids the use of the outline and avoids the cursor
showing and moving the selection.

This is best for doing detailed masking. Also you can change the appearance of
the mask in Preferences -> display -> Selection Overlay [Select color and
opacity of mask].

As for the move selection mode beign active on ouline mode when docker buttons
are used. we will need to add an option to lock selection from move at all.

[cantor] [Bug 408240] The Qt buttons no longer work (Qt signals problem) after the code change from 1 June

2019-06-04 Thread vialav
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=408240

Congrats. So, the issue has been narrowed to my backporting to Qt 5.9.5. You
have confidently demonstrated that Cantor is compatible with the latest KDE.

I would be grateful for some guidance which lines of code in Cantor has changed
from 1 June which are responsible for Qt signalling, so I may try to chase it
down in my backport, if you don't mind.

I'll also try to build Cantor outside the debian packaging (I've never tried to
explore that avenue).

I am have Been using Krita for a few months, and I really like it, but, I don't
think I have all the brushes. I went to the Krita manual to do fur texture, and
I couldn't find the ink_brush_25 brush, and then I went to another one on the
krita manual, and I couldn't find the smudge_soft brush. It might be my
computer, and there might not be anything you can do, but if you know anyway to
help me I would be very grateful.

Yay! Now the icons in the tool panel are displayed correctly.

By the way, the Theme is always Breeze regardless of the selected option
(System theme, Breeze and Breeze dark), right? Is it technically possible to
select the system theme, so I could use Ubuntu's "Ambiance" icons for the
Albums panel?

monitors before greeting
   Product: kwin
   Version: 5.15.5
  Platform: Other
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
  Assignee: kwin-bugs-n...@kde.org

  Target Milestone: ---

SUMMARY
Laptop with two external monitors. If laptop lid is closed, laptop display is
not active. System suspends. System is resumed by opening the laptop lid. The
greeter is displayed, but it gets the screen configuration wrong. Login on the
laptop display is fine, but instead of the a login display being shown on the
other two screens one each, there is one login screen shared by both external
monitors, with the password entry dialog split.

The laptop is a full HD display. One external monitor is 4K (in native
resolution, not scaled) and the second is 1920x1200

After logging in, the display configuration is refreshed and there are no
problems.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Close laptop lid, so that only the two external displays are used.
2. Allow the system to suspend
3. Resume by opening the laptop display

OBSERVED RESULT
Instead of each of the three screens getting a perfectly sized login screen,
the two external monitors share a badly sized login screen split across both.

EXPECTED RESULT
The display configuration should be refreshed before showing the login screens.
Then, each of the three monitors would get a well-formed login screen.

Okay, it seems like mouse focus is moved to a client on the other screen for a
brief moment.

You could either:
(a) Use a window rule to position the desired client;
(b) Enable "Active screen follows mouse", it's under Window Management, Window
Behavior.

Though if the client specifically sets its position, I don't know how to deal
with that case (perhaps create a window rule to disobey geometry requests?).

[kwin] [Bug 408316] New: In Window Decorations -> Buttons, it’s hard to rearrange buttons

2019-06-04 Thread David Hurka
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=408316

Bug ID: 408316
Summary: In Window Decorations -> Buttons, it’s hard to
rearrange buttons
   Product: kwin
   Version: 5.15.5
  Platform: Neon Packages
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
  Severity: minor
  Priority: NOR
 Component: decorations
  Assignee: kwin-bugs-n...@kde.org
  Reporter: david.hu...@mailbox.org
  Target Milestone: ---

SUMMARY
It’s hard to rearrange titlebar buttons, because dropping them in the desired
position usually simply has no effect.
There is an indication where they can be dropped (?), when dragging them above
other buttons the cursor changes. But this does not mean that the button will
be inserted there.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Open Application Style -> Window Decorations -> Buttons
2. Drag e. g. the menu buttom from the lower area
3. Drop the button somewhere in the title bar

OBSERVED RESULT
1. Buttons drop themselves in maybe 15% of all cases, in the other 85% nothing
happens.
2. Cursor changes when dragging a button on another button.

EXPECTED RESULT
1. Buttons drop themselves like known from the Plasma panel in configuration
mode, indicading where they can be dropped by stoving other buttons (icons)
away.
2. Cursor changes when dragging a button between / next to other buttons in the
titlebar.

Linux Mint 19 seems to use Ubuntu 18.04 packages, so it looks like a problem
with theming Qt5 buttons in Cinnamon.

Could you please ask in a forum of your distribution if Mint ships a Qt
platform integration plugin for Cinnamon? If not, you might need to install and
setup "qt5ct" to select a different Qt widget style, such as "Fusion".

This looks like a packaging issue. LabPlot uses KDE's icons. Can you check
whether breeze icon set is installed on your system?

Also, the current release is 2.6:

If possible, please give the new version a try.

Pixels

Using Albert’s screenshot, one could say that Evince and Okular draw slightly
different. Indeed, where the arrow points, Evince is sharper than Okular,
resulting in a higher contrast and a differently perceived black tone.

Could have these reasons:
a) Both have a slightly different alignment of the scanned image, resulting in
different sampling of rendered pixels which are not exactly on image pixels.
b) Both have same alignment, but use different filtering. (Bilinear, Bicubic,
Nearest Neighbour,... In fact, Okular does not use nearest neighbour, causing
smeared edges on scans. Maybe Evince does?)
c) this happened just at random for exactly these zoom factors.

(In reply to emohr from comment #1)
> We had a lot of crashes due to not have a keyframe as default on the

> this keyframe?

I imagined it was for dating, but it would not be better to forget about a
keyframe as default, if you do not need to animate, so there has to be a frame,
and if you have to cheer up, I'm sorry I can not move it. What I just said is
like this in all the applications I work with, Premiere, Sony Vegas, After
effects, Blender, Maya, Combustion, Particle illusion ... etc, if you do not
have to animate, there are no keyframes, when we animate the insert ... this
concept if you can integrate it would be a breakthrough in kdenlive.

Why can not I invest an animation? because simply because I can not move the
keyframe, since a very usual technique to animate an input and an output of an
object, whatever it is, is to make the input as a clip the development another
and the output is not more than the same clip of the entrance where the
keyframe of the beginning has been taken to the end and the one of the end to
the beginning. Look at the image that I have attached.

   Version: master
  Platform: unspecified

Status: REPORTED

SUMMARY
Right now the only way to skip the current wallpaper and show the next is to
click on the specific option in the menu after right-clicking the desktop. A
global shortcut to change the current background to the next one (and maybe
also to the previous one) could be a useful feature.

OBSERVED RESULT
There is no global shortcut to change the current background to the

EXPECTED RESULT
It should be possible to set a global shortcut to change the current background
to the next/previous one.

[digikam] [Bug 406937] Cannot change icon theme in appimage

https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=406937

Ok, fine. All icons are now also available in the current AppImage.

Theme: other Icon themes. I tested a loader for all existing Icon themes in the
system. The problem is that none can replace Breeze to completeness. The other
Icon themes look terrible in part. Oxygen is still the most complete. But since
many icons are no longer suitable for certain actions, it is no longer
recommended. It might be the basis for a "digiKam Icon theme". From Qt-5.12 it
is possible to set a fallback icon theme. Maybe an option to make something out
of it.

  Platform: openSUSE RPMs
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
  Severity: normal

Created attachment 120577
  --> https://bugs.kde.org/attachment.cgi?id=120577=edit
Video of described steps

SUMMARY
I describe the behaviour of application launcher which has more than one tab
configured (i.e. default set of tabs). Closing launcher with any tab other than
the first (left) selected makes launcher show animation of switching tabs when
it is reopened. After that, the first (left) tab stays opened.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. If needed: configure application launcher so that it has more than one tab.
2. Open application launcher.
3. Choose any tab except the first (left).
4. Close launcher clicking somewhere else on your desktop.
5. Open application launcher.

OBSERVED RESULT
Last used tab is opened, then launcher instantly switches to the first (left)
tab.

EXPECTED RESULT
A first (left) tab is opened.

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Linux: openSUSE Leap 15.1
KDE Plasma Version: 5.12.8
KDE Frameworks Version: 5.55.0
Qt Version: 5.9.7

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

I assume that this happens in some systems but others open first tab instantly.
If it is expected behaviour that just goes unnoticed on fast-performing setups
I wish this bug report will become a request (severity "wishlist").

[kdenlive] [Bug 408085] The way to order the effects is very bad

2019-06-04 Thread RafaMar
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=408085

(In reply to emohr from comment #1)
If I refer to the new classification, in the previous versions, the 18.12, for
example, all the effects were visible by default and very well ordered in their
respective families. It was wonderful. The most "needed" is very subjective and
relative to the type of assembly that is made. In fact it is what I see most
complain about the forums and facebook, people believe that they have removed
much of the effects. I honestly do not see this new distribution as a good
idea. The ideal would be to put back the option all and ordered as they were
before. Then if as an option you want to put the one that is now main as one
more option, but ideally, the main one would be all as it is in professional
editors.

[frameworks-kglobalaccel] [Bug 408310] New: Restarting plasmashell breaks Task Manager keyboard shortcuts

2019-06-04 Thread Thiago Sueto
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=408310

Bug ID: 408310
Summary: Restarting plasmashell breaks Task Manager keyboard
shortcuts
   Product: frameworks-kglobalaccel
   Version: unspecified
  Platform: Ubuntu Packages
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
  Assignee: kdelibs-b...@kde.org
  Reporter: herzensch...@gmail.com
  Target Milestone: ---

SUMMARY
If plasmashell is restarted, kglobalaccel5 becomes unable to activate Task
Manager windows through keyboard shortcuts.
This does not break kglobalaccel5 entirely since Menu and KRunner still run.
Kglobalaccel5 must be killed and rerun in order for Task Manager keybindings to
work again.
I believe this means kglobalaccel does not fully recover after plasmashell
either being killed or manually run.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. plasmashell --replace
2. Use Global Shortcuts for Task Manager entries (Meta+1, 2, 3...).

WORKAROUND
1. Open Krunner
2. killall kglobalaccel5 && kglobalaccel5

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Operating System: Kubuntu 19.04
KDE Plasma Version: 5.15.4
KDE Frameworks Version: 5.56.0
Qt Version: 5.12.2
Kernel Version: 5.0.0-15-generic

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
I'm not sure if this bug should be reported on frameworks-kglobalaccel or
plasmashell.

Hi,

The automatic detection of headers of CSV files is done for that.
By setting, the right regular expressions, you should be able to detect
automatically different formats of CSV files.

What do you mean in detail?
The new sorting in the effect window?

There are now 3 lists:
Main: contains the most "needed" effects from video and audio (the icon with
the 3 stripes).

Video: contains all video effects (the filmstrip icon).

Audio: contains all audio effects (the loudspeaker icon)

Hi,

Have you started the debugging? You have to start the application in the
debugger one time before you can start setting breakpoints.

This is because starting the application/debugging loads the application into
GDB. Before that GDB is not even started.

Setting of breakpoints before GDB is started is a bit of a problem. One could
start GDB and load the application when one tries to set a break-point, but
somebody would have to implement it...

Please reply if my analysis/guess of the situation is right or wrong.
