I'm clicking on a text layer with the text tool. It won't select. Therefore I can't click "Edit Text" in the Tool Options. Often when I try to click on the text layer (with the text tool) I have to click just a little beneath and off to the left literally OFF the text layer, but there will be the actual text box that corresponds to the final layer. As long as I'm talking about editing text, two last things: - Very often, if I try to copy-paste text into the Text Edit window, as soon as I click on Save/Apply, the program will freeze and crash on me. - Lastly, I appreciate that in the text Tool Options I can customize the character spacing. But in Photoshop there are sooo many more options. Small Caps, supertext, subtext, and most imporantly (for my anyway), Paragraph Style editing so I can adjust the Line Spacing!! I'd love to be able to create one block of text and bunch the lines of text closer together... but instead I have to create them as two separate layers. Thanks for your help! https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=412798 Bug ID: 412798 Summary: Feature Request Enlarge text encoding/decoding capability to include BD mpls files Product: kate Version: 19.04.3 Platform: Other OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: wishlist Priority: NOR Component: encoding Assignee: kwrite-bugs-n...@kde.org Reporter: shagooser...@gmail.com Target Milestone: --- Created attachment 123116 --> https://bugs.kde.org/attachment.cgi?id=123116=edit mpls example file Enable Kate to read the .mpls files on a Blu-ray disk. Currently attempting to open this type of file with Kate returns the following message: The file /MOVIE/BDMV/PLAYLIST/00800.mpls was opened with UTF-8 encoding but contained invalid characters. It is set to read-only mode, as saving might destroy its content. Either reopen the file with the correct encoding chosen or enable the read-write mode again in the tools menu to be able to edit it. Selecting any of the available encodings from the tools menu does not fix the problem. A file encoding query returns: file -bi 00800.mpls application/octet-stream; charset=binary The mpls files in a BD are used to allow the player to know what to play and in what order and are necessary to convert the movie into other formats, for example, mkv. I have attached a sample file. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[skrooge] [Bug 412360] All items entered are gone
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=412360 --- Comment #21 from Dave --- Well after the successful installation of 2.20.0 on my wifes computer earlier today this evening l made a back up copy of my current Skrooge files on a removable usb. I verified all was there then took the USB out of my computer.I then proceeded with the process you sent (below) to remove the program and reinstall however when completed l still had the 2.15.0 version.I then thought of all the previous attempts and different formats l had previously tried to update the program. I had downloaded flatpac, tar balls and the PPA's you had given me months ago and l began to think that maybe there was still a hidden version somewhere on the computer that it kept loading giving me the 2.15.0 again.I then removed all of the files in my computer that had any connection to the Skrooge program..removed all previous back ups, any files stored in Documents, checked my Download files, User files Temp files and could not locate any more Skrooge related files.I then proceed to once again follow the instructions you had provided and when completed the Skrooge program was still there in the 2.15.0 version all intact with my files still in place.I was assuming it would have resulted in a clean install with a blank document to which l was going to add the files l had saved onto the USB.I am so frustrated after having the installation go so well on my wifes computer. What can you suggest that l do to remove all traces of the 2.15.0 ? Is there possibly a complete system scan that l can perform to find any files that may be hidden deeper in the computer?I can continue with my daily business using my wifes computer but that would be inconvenient for both of us.Dave On Wednesday, October 9, 2019, 10:02:37 a.m. EDT, Stephane MANKOWSKI wrote: https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=412360 --- Comment #13 from Stephane MANKOWSKI --- Oups, my fault: You just have to do that: sudo apt remove skrooge* sudo add-apt-repository ppa:s-mankowski/ppa-kf5 sudo apt-get update sudo apt-get install skrooge-kf5 -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[digikam] [Bug 278935] Please make XMP Sidecar filename configurable [patch]
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=278935 glenn changed: What|Removed |Added CC||gl...@dazedowl.uk --- Comment #24 from glenn --- Could someone clarify Comment 22? What does it meant by 'used', does it simply mean read? Perhaps I am missing it but I cannot find a way to write to a sidecar named $BASENAME.xmp, which is the use case that most people are concerned about when discussing interoperability (ie read _and_ write). For better or worse many RAW processors use $BASENAME.xmp, including Capture One (which doesn't have DAM features!), and so writing to these files from digiKam is an essential aspect of interoperability. If writing to $BASENAME.xmp is provided as an option it will greatly increase the appeal of digiKam to new users. Think of the glory, and the donations! I would happily make a donation if digiKam suited this use case (sadly, without that option this powerful application is useless to me). -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

Fix Rec2020 display format This commit contains changes to smpte shader to fix the black screen in Rec2020 display format on Windows. Before this commit it was broken because of two things: - r=pow(x, y) in ANGLE is compiled into t=log(x); t=t*y; r=e^t which in case of 0 resulted in undefined behaviour, in this case... alpha = 1.0, even though the line was: pow(0, 1), qhich means the correct result should be 0.0, not 1.0. - changed order of painting UI and canvas; before it was first UI, then canvas. After the order was reversed, so the 0.0 alpha started to be crucial for canvas to be shown from underneath the UI. [digikam] [Bug 278935] Please make XMP Sidecar filename configurable [patch]
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=278935 --- Comment #26 from glenn --- Thanks for your quick response Maik. So digiKam will default to reading and writing to $BASENAME.xmp if it finds one already existing. That's very helpful to know. This still presents a problem for a typical use case, where the user imports and manages new images through digiKam but processes the RAW files in (say) Capture One. In this case digiKam will create $BASENAME.EXT.xmp files, which Capture One will not be aware of. A common workflow would be rating newly imported images in digiKam, and sorting by these in Capture One for editing (and even changing the ratings or some other metadata in the RAW processor. eg to indicate editing complete and ready for printing). It remains the case that user control over xmp file naming would be very helpful and open digiKam to other users. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

Can you please show a screenshot of your Render Animation dialog just before clicking ok? And a screenshot of "Both" tab just to see what the Video options are. [krita] [Bug 412756] New: Artifacts on 8 bit brushes that get composted at low transparencies.
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=412756 Bug ID: 412756 Summary: Artifacts on 8 bit brushes that get composted at low transparencies. Product: krita Version: git master Platform: Other OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: Brush engines Assignee: krita-bugs-n...@kde.org Reporter: griffinval...@gmail.com Target Milestone: --- Created attachment 123099 --> https://bugs.kde.org/attachment.cgi?id=123099=edit On the left there's a stroke with the airbrush preset on an 16bit layer, on the right it's on the 8bit layer. Observe the weird pattern on the right at full brightness. SUMMARY 8bit brush compositing has artifacts compared to 16bit brush compositing. This is most clear when using a soft low slow brush, as the artifacts compound. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Make an 8bit canvas and a 16bit canvas 2. Take brush with a soft or gaussian mask at low flow and low spacing. 3. Draw a few strokes on both. OBSERVED RESULT At full brightness, there's clear artifacts on the 8bit image and not on the 16bit image. EXPECTED RESULT Minimal difference between the 8 and 16bit images. Preferably full smoothness. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION Ok, so we actually discussed this one thoroughly in the IRC: There's three places we can do something: 1. The compositing in the brush engine. This is how a similar problem was solved with the color smudge brush. However, this will only work for wash mode, and not for the build-up mode. 2. it can be fixed at the level of sse-compositions and mask processors. They already have floating point representations, so we can just make rounding more fuzzy. This is the most likely candidate, and right now there's discussion in the IRC on the fastest dithering method(or rather, the fastest randomness method) we can think of) 3. 16bit(or higher) brush masks. This is something no other program seems to have and will require a lot of time, so this is more a feature. This will make the 16bit example smoother too. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
