This is pretty weird. I just tried running IDEA in KWin only, started from a
TTY.
The file descriptor amount does not skyrocket, and everything is stable.

Hi Nate you can close this off, somehow my shortcut lost association with
LibreOffice. A bug in it self.
So I ended up deleting and re-assigning the shortcut and it's working fine now.

Also, it seems for this bug to start occurring, "Applies to" needs to be
manually set to Layer or some other option that's not Image, which is probably
