[kde] [Bug 471063] Apps launched from calc key breaks num lock/number pad use
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=471063 --- Comment #1 from Roy Orbitson --- Just to make this bug even weirder, It seems to be related to use of external keyboards. If I launch from an external keyboard's Calc key, neither its numpad nor any other connected keyboard (including the one built-in to my notebook) behave as though Num Lock is on, despite all indicator lights showing it is. However, If I launch from the built-in keyboard's Calc key, its numpad will work as expected like Num Lock is on, unless I press any key on an external keyboard's numpad, then all numpads begin to behave as though Num Lock has been turned off, though the Num Lock keys have never been touched. I've also discovered the effects aren't limited to Calc key launches as I'd previously thought. If I launch KCalc from KRunner, the numpad behaves, but as soon as I press a numpad key on any other keyboard, they all begin to (mis)behave as if Num Lock is off. I've tried this with multiple external keyboards, including ones that have no Calc key. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[kdenlive] [Bug 471280] New: Pitch compensation on clips sped up by ~1000% or more may cause audio playback issues on those clips
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=471280 Bug ID: 471280 Summary: Pitch compensation on clips sped up by ~1000% or more may cause audio playback issues on those clips Classification: Applications Product: kdenlive Version: 23.04.1 Platform: Microsoft Windows OS: Microsoft Windows Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: Effects & Transitions Assignee: j...@kdenlive.org Reporter: alexthornton9...@gmail.com Target Milestone: --- Created attachment 159799 --> https://bugs.kde.org/attachment.cgi?id=159799=edit Short clip of the issue at 5% volume, occurred immediately after enabling proxy clips (VOLUME WARNING) SUMMARY Pitch compensation on clips sped up by ~1000% (+/-100%) or more may cause audio playback issues on those clips. Random noise will play at random times through the right audio channel during video playback, usually lasting less than 1 second, up to around 3 seconds. Occasionally, the random noise plays for the entire duration of the clip, the same noise repeats if the clip is replayed; restarting Kdenlive may change the noise that plays back, but it will still repeat when the clip is replayed. This random noise can be VERY loud. Audio playback on the left channel appears to be normal. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Create a new project 2. Add a clip to the timeline 3. Speed up the clip to 1000% and enable "Pitch Compensation" 4. Turn down your volume and play the video preview Strangely, enabling proxy clips seems to more consistently cause the issue, tested on an existing project with sped up video already on the timeline. In this case the steps are: 1. Create a new project 2. Add a clip to the timeline 3. Speed up the clip to 1000% and enable "Pitch Compensation" 4. Open Project Settings and enable proxy clips 5. turn down your volume and play the video preview OBSERVED RESULT Random noise occasionally plays through the right audio channel, or for the entire duration of the clip. EXPECTED RESULT Audio plays back normally at the speed selected. https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=471248 --- Comment #1 from Matt Fagnani --- The error at the time of the crash might refer to the media player applet with a play button icon in the system tray when videos were playing plasmashell[1456]: file:///usr/share/plasma/plasmoids/org.kde.plasma.private.systemtray/contents/ui/items/PlasmoidItem.qml:125: TypeError: Cannot read property 'compactRepresentationItem' of null /usr/share/plasma/plasmoids/org.kde.plasma.private.systemtray/contents/ui/items/PlasmoidItem.qml:125 was target: findMouseArea(applet.compactRepresentationItem ? applet.compactRepresentationItem : applet.fullRepresentationItem) Hovering over the media player icon showed the popup "Nightly is playing media Mozilla Firefox Middle-click to pause Scroll to adjust volume". If that media player applet was occasionally null when used, the crash might've been the result of that error TypeError: Cannot read property 'compactRepresentationItem' of null The crashes didn't appear in coredumpctl or gnome-abrt. I'm using a Thinkpad E14 Gen 2 (4500U CPU and Renoir graphics) and the 6.3.8 Linux kernel. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Use an AMD GPU with the amdgpu kernel module 2. Execute 'cat /sys/kernel/debug/dri/0/amdgpu_gpu_recover' as root OBSERVED RESULT Driver reloads successfully, but KDE stays frozen until killed/restarted. kwin_wayland spams "kwin_scene_opengl: A graphics reset not attributable to the current GL context occurred." to syslog. EXPECTED RESULT KDE should recover from driver restart and work. SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Linux/KDE Plasma: (available in About System) KDE Plasma Version: 5.27.6 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.107.0 Qt Version: 5.15.10 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION See attachment -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=470998 --- Comment #3 from vindicator --- (In reply to Nate Graham from comment #2) > Vindicator, are you on X11 or Wayland when this happens? > > Also can you look in System Settings > Workspace Behavior > Desktop Effects > and make sure that "Tiling Editor" is checked/enabled? Thanks! X11 Yes, while "I've tried it with each Settings->Workspace->{Shortcuts->Plasma->Toggle Tiles Editor, Workspace Behavior->Desktop Effects->Tiling Editor} separately having ownership of the Meta+T keys.", I also made sure "Workspace Behavior->Desktop Effects->Tiling Editor" was enabled too. It still is (even had applied off/on states to make sure they were taking). -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

TLDR News emails appear with a white header (that includes Subject, From, To, and Date) that does not respect system font. Local NBC emails do not load when selected and show the previously viewed email instead. *** STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Click email from TLDR or NBC 2. Loads with weird (fallback-like) formatting for TLDR; does not load at all and shows previously selected email for NBC OBSERVED RESULT TLDR emails appear with a white background and Arial-looking font that seems to be some kind of fallback. [kmymoney] [Bug 469431] Need better way to handle changes in stock price quote source
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=469431 Jack changed: What|Removed |Added CC|ostroffjh@users.sourceforge | |.net| --- Comment #22 from Jack --- KMM does not use any telemetry, so we really don't have any way of knowing how many users are affected. You could count how many have commented on this bug (or any of its predecessors) or written about it on the mailing lists. The number of folks on the cc list also contributes, but I get ALL KMM bug posts, so I only get on a cc list if I forget to uncheck the box. I'm curious to how you worded the problem to which you posted Yahoo's response. I'm sure that reply is just a form letter, and I don't know how the problem shows up for users of other software. but for us, all we need is a CONSISTENT response. Any reasonable response to the URL which displays in a browser can be parsed with a regex to extract the desired information. All they have to do is stop changing it every few years. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
