[Haruna] [Bug 481310] New: Option to Advance or Delay Audio for Audio/Video Synchronization
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=481310 Bug ID: 481310 Summary: Option to Advance or Delay Audio for Audio/Video Synchronization Classification: Applications Product: Haruna Version: unspecified Platform: Other OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: generic Assignee: georgefb...@gmail.com Reporter: baptiste.delago...@smartaudiotools.com Target Milestone: --- I would like to be able to advance or delay the audio in relation to the video to be able to synchronize the two. It would be very useful to be able to advance the audio when using a DAC that introduces a lot of latency (DACs from the brand Chord, for example). I have not found any option to do this in Haruna. It would be great if the option could be implemented. Thank you. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

Not a single KDE maintainer or a distribution maintainer cared about this issue. I think there is an ideological problem rather than a technical one, e.g. not supporting Google. Once triggered, it will blank out the screen. Mouse cursor remains visible on it. It takes a long while for it to display the password prompt. Once the password is entered, it doesn't respond to ENTER/RETURN on the keyboard (see bug https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=478875), only by clicking on the arrow symbol next to the password field can one get back to the desktop. Once the password is entered, desktop is displayed for split second and once again blanked for a long while, with mouse cursor again being visible. Attached you will find a video displaying the above described issues. What I need is the cut SNAPS onto > the cursor, not the other way around. Oh wait that was just shift in razor mode, if I shift in cursor mode it won't snap, so shift+r indeed do what I need, combined with alt+arrow it's not as many input as I currently do indeed... Pretty bad UX, but should be good enough for now. I still hope for regular snap though. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[kde] [Bug 481302] New: Network manager not saving password
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=481302 Bug ID: 481302 Summary: Network manager not saving password Classification: I don't know Product: kde Version: unspecified Platform: Fedora RPMs OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: minor Priority: NOR Component: general Assignee: unassigned-b...@kde.org Reporter: jkallinge...@gmx.at Target Milestone: --- SUMMARY Connected to my WiFi but after every reboot and sometimes after sleep i get a pop-up from the kde-daemon asking for the WiFi password. At first i could just close the window, turn WiFi off and on again and it reconnected, now it only asks for the Password again. Looked online for some solutions but could not find anything that resolved my problem. So far i tried: Changing KDE Wallet password to login PW, or removing it alltogether. Reinstalling KDE Wallet (kwalletmanager5-23.08.4-1.fc39.x86_64.rpm) Reinstalling Network Manager (NetworkManager-1.44.2-1.fc39.x86_64.rpm) In general WiFi Configuration i set it so that every user can connect, saved the Password for all users. While the kde-daemon is asking for the PW I can open the WiFi settings, copy the PW and paste into the daemon. [kalarm] [Bug 481166] When entering VTODOs into KALARM's ICAL calender they are ignored
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=481166 --- Comment #7 from David Jarvie --- Many of your proposals go beyond the intended scope of KAlarm, and if implemented would expand its function from being a stand-alone personal alarm application to something more general. This would add more code complexity, and therefore more maintenance overhead, which I don't think are desirable for the application as it is designed. Specific comments are below. > (My answers rest on https://github.com/KDE/kalarm/tree/master/src I don't know the status of that repository. The correct one is at https://invent.kde.org/pim/kalarm . > The "Related To" property (see > https://www.rfc-editor.org/rfc/rfc5545#section-3.8.4.5). > > KAlarm would then generate a dependent object (child), referencing back to > the parent object in the r/o ICS of the other application. > > With any luck »kcal« already has implemented it, and might even has a > complete view of all calendars within KAlarm, so that it just works … > > In effect the child would have access to changes of the parent, especially > deletion or start/end changes (for relative alarms) and any need to write > anything back into the shared ICS would vanish … I think that for simplicity, I'd prefer to treat read-only calendars as they are currently. They lack functionality in certain respects, but I would regard this as "user beware", since they are not a common usage. > RFC 5545 not only allows but advocates that VEVENT/VTODO can each have > multiple VALARMs with absolute or relative time specifications triggering > at different points in time (and actually each VALARM can have its own > summary and description, which is useful for some use-cases (example see > below)). > > KAlarm should be capable to cope with this and the ICAL library may already > is … The ical library does cope with this. However, KAlarm always creates a separate VEVENT for each alarm, and this is a fundamental assumption in its design. It would add considerable complexity to cater for a read-write calendar containing events with multiple alarms but again because this can only happen with calendars created by other applications, which is not the usual use case, I would be against catering for multiple independent alarms in the same VEVENT. Multiple alarms in a VEVENT or VTODO could be catered for an import function instead, which would split such instances into multiple VEVENTs or VTODOs, so as to conform to what KAlarm is designed to use. If a user tried to configure KAlarm to access a calendar containing such instances, the user could be prompted to import it, with a warning that otherwise, some alarms would be ignored. > I can imagine many use-cases where KAlarm and the other application act as > peers, both writing changes back with collision avoidance done by some > outside mechanism. For KDEPIM applications, that would require reverting to using Akonadi as the backend interface. This is out of the question since the use of Akonadi in KAlarm version 2 resulted in continual difficult to fix bugs, which is why a new direct file interface was developed for KAlarm version 3. > Finally I see some asymmetric use-cases where KAlarm is ancillary as a > reminder manager for a calendaring application. > The calendaring application is the owner/manager of the events and todos – > and the place for editing them. > KAlarm allows fine-tuned managing of the reminders and has r/o access to the > calendar of the other application. > > Technically I hope "Related To" works as solution. > > From the user's point of view: > When a "Related To" alarm is edited, the GUI shows the summary and > description of the event/todo as read-only together with some hint of the > managing application (typically indicated in the ICAL file) and the > external calendar and an indication that the event itself must be managed > there, whereas KAlarm only manages the reminder. The timing, summary > (name), and description (message) of the alarm proper can still be edited > by the user as normal. This is all out of scope, as explained in my first paragraph. The rest of what you suggest is also out of scope. If users want to use KAlarm to manage their alarms in place of their calendaring applications (can't they find calendaring applications which handle alarms?), they will need to import them or set them up manually in KAlarm. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

Product Name: XPS 17 9710 Laptop is connected to two external 34" monitors of equal size and resolution via Thunderbolt dock Preconditions: - Set system to use Breeze Dark theme and icons - Added a second digital clock widget in the center. (Note: I am not sure this is the same widget as the reporter is using) - Added the color picker widget - Made sure tray is set to be opaque Steps to reproduce: 1. Opened an mp4 video with mpv, made it full screen Note: With mpv in full screen, on the same display, I *cannot* see the task bar 2. Changed it to play in maximized mode instead I cannot reproduce the bug if the video is playing on the same display where the taskbar is 3. Moved the mpv window to the other monitor and made it full screen I *can* reproduce the bug if the video is playing full screen on either of the other displays (laptop or monitor). Observed the clock to see if it changed size - yes Observed the color picker widget to see if it changed transparency - yes The symptoms are identical to the original report. Notes: - I can only reproduce this with the mpv player. I was not able to reproduce it with VLC or Haruna, full screen, maximized or regular window. - I have a second clock widget to the right next to the system tray (my original). This does not change font size or opacity when the clock in the middle does. Might the spacers on either side of the clock in the center affect this? -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

Committed on 13/02/2024 at 20:04. Pushed by fanzhuyifan into branch 'Plasma/6.0'. Slider: Fix slider scrolling direction We always want the slider to increase its value when scrolling up or right, no matter the inverted scrolling setting. For "regular" scrolling, this corresponds to positive values on the Y axis and negative values on the X axis. For "natural" scrolling (indicated by the `inverted` property) is the opposite so we need to reverse the sign. Note that the Qt documentation on WheelEvent is dubious: On https://doc.qt.io/qt-5/qml-qtquick-wheelevent.html, the `angleDelta` section suggests that positive should be up/right, but the `inverted` section indicates the above mentioned behavior. https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=481298 Bug ID: 481298 Summary: Panels Don't always hide when entering Application Dashboard. Classification: Plasma Product: kdeplasma-addons Version: master Platform: Other OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: Application Dashboard Assignee: plasma-b...@kde.org Reporter: zakareyaahme...@outlook.com Target Milestone: --- SUMMARY In some cases of opening the application dashboard, it does not completely hide away all panels the user have setup (as shown below in the imgur link). This is sporadic, and 8/10 the panels behave as normal and are hidden behind the application dashboard, but sometimes they do not. I have noticed this tends to happen more while bringing up the dashboard while in a fullscreen application, such as a video game. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Have at least one panel on the desktop 2. Open the application dashboard, multiple times, ideally while in a fullscreen application like a video game. OBSERVED RESULT Sometimes, the panels appear above the dashboard. EXPECTED RESULT The panels never appear above the dashboard, no matter circumstances. It is activated here but when I set it a long time ago but I did not understand all the meaning since for me, the only "logical" way to search with tags tree is the recursive way. By the way, I just became aware of the option 'in tree' to advanced search a tag. This setting doesn't apply to Tags filter. That means we have to set individually all needed node of a tree if we wanted the recursive way ? -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

Committed on 13/02/2024 at 18:26. Pushed by ngraham into branch 'master'. KCM: make delay unit not editable and overhaul delay-setting UI Currently the user can select and edit the delay units in the config, leading them to believe that they can change "minutes" to "seconds" or "hours". This is not the case, and causes confusion. See this Reddit thread for reference of the confusion: https://old.reddit.com/r/kde/comments/tpvp5h/why_such_an_arbitrary_number_for_allow_unlocking/ This change makes them ComboBox components instead, with an optional "Custom" entry for the user to specify any time desired.
