[plasmashell] [Bug 354795] task manager: sort by application/window creation order
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=354795 --- Comment #2 from arne anka--- a) it would still be a valid sorting criterion, no matter if plasmashell crashes or not -- _AND_ it would mitigate the effects of the constant crashes b) plasmashell crashes for month now, and it still is always the next qt release that is supposed to fix that c) you hardly can be sure that palsmashell won't crash for othe reasons as well in short: there's no valid reason, _NOT_ to add that sorting criterion -- the hope that the constant crashes which currently mar plasmashell will go away, or that plasmashell won't ever crash, is definitely _NOT_ a sufficient reason. please, provide a _ PLAUSIBLE_ rational or leave open. btw: why can't i reopen this entry? your decision of RESOLVED/WONTFIX is obviously not viable and at least without sufficient rationale. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[krita] [Bug 364406] New: Brush tip lags and gets stock after each stroke
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=364406 Bug ID: 364406 Summary: Brush tip lags and gets stock after each stroke Product: krita Version: git master Platform: Compiled Sources URL: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B-cDWUXy4ZMmNm40LWNUZ nl4U3M/view?usp=sharing OS: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: major Priority: NOR Component: Brush engine Assignee: krita-bugs-n...@kde.org Reporter: rjquira...@gmail.com A mentioned this one earlier, I also went through some other bugs but they are not necessarily the same (if related I can't tell though) (see attached video). There is a lag after each stroke but also the preset gets "stock" its position and pressure, thus at times simply doesn't draw, or connects the last stroke (straight line shown at the beginning of the strokes in the video) or it delays the pressure making a very short stroke like "dots". Currently happening only on the build version of Krita, I am on a Archlinux system with a nvidia propietary drivers. After reading Eliotj and Raghavendra kamath's details on the bug https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=362445 I don't think there is much relation to the issues, I experience this issue regardless of the freehand brush settings (smoothing/stabilizer or non) or the texture framebuffer been on / off, Also this one seems very similar but I don't see the presset pressure and position getting stock in the video shown here https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=363799#add_comment This affects freehand and dynamic brush tools, even with the assistant tool. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Launch Krita 2. Make a new document or open an existing one. 3. Try to draw Actual Results: Lag / presets pressure/position will get stock. Expected Results: Brush tools normal behavior. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[kate] [Bug 364405] New: Crashes when closing tabs. Error is a segmentation fault.
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=364405 Bug ID: 364405 Summary: Crashes when closing tabs. Error is a segmentation fault. Product: kate Version: 16.04.1 Platform: openSUSE RPMs OS: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: critical Priority: NOR Component: application Assignee: kwrite-bugs-n...@kde.org Reporter: aayush.agarwal...@yahoo.com If I open a number of tabs and then close the ones I don't need then kate crashes with a segmentation fault. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Open a number of tabs, this number seems to be variable. It does not seem to matter if they are files or new tabs, but crashing seems to be more likely with files. 2. Start closing them when clicking on the cross on the tab. 3. Kate will crash unexpectedly. Actual Results: It would close a few tabs just fine, but then it would crash to desktop. On opening kate with the terminal I found that the crash reason was a segmentation fault. So if I have tabs open with unsaved data I would lose my changes. Expected Results: It should just close the file and continue to work as usual, with my remaining open tabs visible. I ran kate over strace to generate what kate was doing in attempts to reproduce this bug. I don't know how useful that will be but I'll upload the log anyway. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[plasmashell] [Bug 340267] Plasma crashes when a DisplayPort monitor sleeps
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=340267 --- Comment #53 from Soren Harward--- (In reply to Christoph Feck from comment #50) > Can you please test with Qt 5.6.1 ? Still getting crashes in plasmashell with qt-5.6.1 and plasma-5.6.5, though less frequently. Now it seems to happen only when the displays are turned off for an extended period of time; I'll do some more testing and see if I can figure out exactly how long "an extended period of time" actually is. krunner and kwin_x11 also crashed frequently before qt-5.6.1 and plasma-5.6.5, and haven't done so since. The xrandr command I listed in comment #41 doesn't cause plasmashell to crash anymore, but when I run it the panel moves back and forth between monitors unpredictably, even when I set one of the outputs as "--primary" in xrandr, and even when widgets are locked. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

The program had crashed twice on me while I was deleting layers and trying move my selection. Have Krita crash if it had not already (I am not sure how mine crashed) 7. reopen your work. 8. make a outline selection on the layer you want to move then try to click the move tool. 9: Make a new document again. Actual Results: The tool will be locked and you will be unable to select any of the tool in that row if you try to make a new document you will see your bug transfer into you new document and any older document you may have. [kdenlive] [Bug 364366] git master 2016-06-15 - Automatic clip split corrupting timeline
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=364366 --- Comment #7 from Massimo Stella--- I finally checked the fix you done and I think it's ok. I just believe that it's not correct, when in "strict mode" and in "normal mode", to disable the audio split feature. I think that to put the audio in the first free audio track is the correct way to behave. Same as if you split the audio in "mixed mode". If no audio tracks are free in "mixed mode" the split operation has to be disabled and in "Strict mode" you can't add both video and audio untill you have the empty tracks for both. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=362445 --- Comment #19 from eliotJ--- I disscused on the IRC with Raghavendra kamath. Hmmm... It looks like this bug is more complicated than just Stabilizer... For me this Stabilizer fix + "stabilizerSampleSize=20" in kritarc eliminating these bended lines... Raghavendra kamath needs also turning off 'Use texture buffer' (like he described above)... For me these texture buffer dosen't do bended lines, but slow down Canvas navigation, which I reported here https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=364184 1. Raghavendra kamath using Linux, I using Windows 7 - this bug doesn't be Windows only. Boud said it's true... 2. Imho: Maybe these "stabilizerSampleSize=20" should be default settings... 3. [kwin] [Bug 364240] compositor is now suspended while there is a fullscreen window
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=364240 --- Comment #2 from miklos--- OK, I see that kwin now uses the _NET_WM_BYPASS_COMPOSITOR hint. In my opinion that is a stupid thing to do. For example, Team Fortress 2 disables the compositor while it's running, even if it's in the background, but Garry's Mod doesn't disable it at all. [kio] [Bug 289083] Using WebDAV open dialog does not detect the mimetype and not open the default program
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=289083 --- Comment #18 from Alejandro Moreno Calvo--- Definitely there was a problem with webdav configurate using CPanel. You can see more info in https://forums.cpanel.net/threads/case-104037-webdavs-server-webdisk-sending-wrong-mime-type.410812/ I don't know if in recent versions of CPanel the bug was corrected but i think that we can close this bug. I have seen that some webdav servers seen mimetype 'httpd/unix-file' when they can not obtain the correct mimetype (Example https://rt.cpan.org/Public/Bug/Display.html?id=60883 ) I don't know if in this case a workaround to ignore this default mimetype could be sense. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
