[plasmashell] [Bug 354795] task manager: sort by application/window creation order

2016-06-16 Thread arne anka via KDE Bugzilla
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=354795

a) it would still be a valid sorting criterion, no matter if plasmashell
crashes or not -- _AND_ it would mitigate the effects of the constant crashes
b) plasmashell crashes for month now, and it still is always the next qt
release that is supposed to fix that
c) you hardly can be sure that palsmashell won't crash for othe reasons as well

in short: there's no valid reason, _NOT_ to add that sorting criterion -- the
hope that the constant crashes which currently mar plasmashell will go away, or
that plasmashell won't ever crash, is definitely _NOT_ a sufficient reason.

please, provide a _ PLAUSIBLE_ rational or leave open.

btw: why can't i reopen this entry?
your decision of RESOLVED/WONTFIX is obviously not viable and at least without
sufficient rationale.

2016-06-16 Thread Quiralta via KDE Bugzilla
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=364406

Bug ID: 364406
Summary: Brush tip lags and gets stock after each stroke
   Product: krita
   Version: git master
  Platform: Compiled Sources
   URL: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B-cDWUXy4ZMmNm40LWNUZ
nl4U3M/view?usp=sharing
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: major
  Priority: NOR
 Component: Brush engine
  Assignee: krita-bugs-n...@kde.org
  Reporter: rjquira...@gmail.com

A mentioned this one earlier, I also went through some other bugs but they are
not necessarily the same (if related I can't tell though) (see attached video).

There is a lag after each stroke but also the preset gets "stock" its position
and pressure, thus at times simply doesn't draw, or connects the last stroke
(straight line shown at the beginning of the strokes in the video) or it delays
the pressure making a very short stroke like "dots".

Currently happening only on the build version of Krita, I am on a Archlinux
system with a nvidia propietary drivers.

After reading Eliotj and Raghavendra kamath's details on the bug
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=362445 I don't think there is much
relation to the issues, I experience this issue regardless of the freehand
brush settings (smoothing/stabilizer or non) or the texture framebuffer been on
/ off,

Also this one seems very similar but I don't see the presset pressure and
position getting stock in the video shown here
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=363799#add_comment

This affects freehand and dynamic brush tools, even with the assistant tool.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Launch Krita
2. Make a new document or open an existing one.
3. Try to draw

Actual Results:
Lag / presets pressure/position will get stock.

Expected Results:
Brush tools normal behavior.

This patch implements the tests required to avoid hitting the bug.

Some of the tests in the patch may be superfluous because the function can

[kate] [Bug 364405] New: Crashes when closing tabs. Error is a segmentation fault.

2016-06-16 Thread Aayush Agarwal via KDE Bugzilla
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=364405

Bug ID: 364405
Summary: Crashes when closing tabs. Error is a segmentation
fault.
   Product: kate
   Version: 16.04.1
  Platform: openSUSE RPMs
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: critical
  Priority: NOR
 Component: application
  Assignee: kwrite-bugs-n...@kde.org
  Reporter: aayush.agarwal...@yahoo.com

If I open a number of tabs and then close the ones I don't need then kate
crashes with a segmentation fault.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open a number of tabs, this number seems to be variable. It does not seem to
matter if they are files or new tabs, but crashing seems to be more likely with
files.
2. Start closing them when clicking on the cross on the tab.
3. Kate will crash unexpectedly.

Actual Results:
It would close a few tabs just fine, but then it would crash to desktop. On
opening kate with the terminal I found that the crash reason was a segmentation
fault.

So if I have tabs open with unsaved data I would lose my changes.

Expected Results:
It should just close the file and continue to work as usual, with my remaining
open tabs visible.

I ran kate over strace to generate what kate was doing in attempts to reproduce
this bug. I don't know how useful that will be but I'll upload the log anyway.

[plasmashell] [Bug 340267] Plasma crashes when a DisplayPort monitor sleeps

2016-06-16 Thread Soren Harward via KDE Bugzilla
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=340267

(In reply to Christoph Feck from comment #50)
> Can you please test with Qt 5.6.1 ?

Still getting crashes in plasmashell with qt-5.6.1 and plasma-5.6.5, though
less frequently. Now it seems to happen only when the displays are turned off
for an extended period of time; I'll do some more testing and see if I can
figure out exactly how long "an extended period of time" actually is.

krunner and kwin_x11 also crashed frequently before qt-5.6.1 and plasma-5.6.5,
and haven't done so since.

The xrandr command I listed in comment #41 doesn't cause plasmashell to crash
anymore, but when I run it the panel moves back and forth between monitors
unpredictably, even when I set one of the outputs as "--primary" in xrandr, and
even when widgets are locked.

[krita] [Bug 364403] New: when using Outline selection tool on image, Can not move selection nor click on any took next to it.

2016-06-16 Thread via KDE Bugzilla
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=364403

Bug ID: 364403
Summary: when using Outline selection tool on image, Can not
move selection nor click on any took next to it.
   Product: krita
   Version: unspecified
  Platform: MS Windows
OS: other
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: major
  Priority: NOR
 Component: Tools
  Assignee: krita-bugs-n...@kde.org
  Reporter: animeloversak...@gmail.com

After I had selected my image I tried to move it using the move tool but my
mouse will not highlight on the tool nor will it select any of the tools within
its row. The program had crashed twice on me while I was deleting layers and
trying move my selection. Sometimes layers will not select and the brush tool
will not paint on the canvas to get the paint function back I had to save my
project then close Krita down. 3 out of 5 times the program will start back up
with out a problem but most of the time I still can not use the brush tool nor
click on any of the tools in the same row as the move tool .

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open up a new document.
2. Open up a document that is 124 x 148 pixels
3: turn of the Grid and Guides docker and set the grid to 48 x 48 pixels
subdivision: 1
4. have 9 or more layers
5. Save your work
6. Have Krita crash if it had not already (I am not sure how mine crashed)
7. reopen your work.
8. make a outline selection on the layer you want to move then try to click the
move tool.
9: Make a new document again.

Actual Results:
The tool will be locked and you will be unable to select any of the tool in
that row if you try to make a new document you will see your bug transfer into
you new document and any older document you may have.

Expected Results:
The software should have allowed me to make my selection with out crashing or
locking the tool bar, the bug should not be able to transfer to new documents
and older documents.

I had set up my document 124 x 148 pixels and a Grid set to 48 x 48 pixels
subdivision: 1. I had also made a costume pixel Brush using the preset brushes
in the document.

[kdenlive] [Bug 364366] git master 2016-06-15 - Automatic clip split corrupting timeline

2016-06-16 Thread Massimo Stella via KDE Bugzilla
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=364366

I finally checked the fix you done and I think it's ok. I just believe that
it's not correct, when in "strict mode" and in "normal mode", to disable the
audio split feature. I think that to put the audio in the first free audio
track is the correct way to behave. Same as if you split the audio in "mixed
mode". If no audio tracks are free in "mixed mode" the split operation has to
be disabled and in "Strict mode" you can't add both video and audio untill you
have the empty tracks for both.

15.12.3 search doesn't find ANY files at all. I know that the Windows 7 search
is a massive downgrade from the 2k/XP one, but not finding ANYTHING for ANY
search term in ANY directory is just ridiculously broken.

[krita] [Bug 362445] Lags while drawing circular shapes (bended lines on Windows!)

2016-06-16 Thread eliotJ via KDE Bugzilla
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=362445

I disscused on the IRC with Raghavendra kamath.

Hmmm... It looks like this bug is more complicated than just Stabilizer... For
me this Stabilizer fix + "stabilizerSampleSize=20" in kritarc eliminating these
bended lines...

Raghavendra kamath needs also turning off 'Use texture buffer' (like he
described above)... For me these texture buffer dosen't do bended lines, but
slow down Canvas navigation, which I reported here
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=364184

1. Raghavendra kamath using Linux, I using Windows 7 - this bug doesn't be
Windows only. Boud said it's true...

2. Imho: Maybe these "stabilizerSampleSize=20" should be default settings...

3. Imho: On the download page of the Krita should be some kind of warning: "If
you notice some slow down in performance try turning off 'Display >> Use
texture buffer".

[kwin] [Bug 364240] compositor is now suspended while there is a fullscreen window

2016-06-16 Thread miklos via KDE Bugzilla
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=364240

OK, I see that kwin now uses the _NET_WM_BYPASS_COMPOSITOR hint. In my opinion
that is a stupid thing to do. For example, Team Fortress 2 disables the
compositor while it's running, even if it's in the background, but Garry's Mod
doesn't disable it at all. I mostly use composite effects for window
management, so disabling the compositor also deceases usability for me.

[krita] [Bug 364400] New: Problem while transforming global selection mask

2016-06-16 Thread Paragon via KDE Bugzilla
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=364400

Bug ID: 364400
Summary: Problem while transforming global selection mask
   Product: krita
   Version: 3.0
  Platform: Other
   URL: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/6756310/work/plane
ts.kra
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: crash
  Priority: NOR
 Component: transform
  Assignee: krita-bugs-n...@kde.org
  Reporter: french.para...@gmail.com

Tring to use the perspective tool on a global selection mask, the program
freeze en seems to enter an infinite loop (also selection disappear and the
mask appear black in the layer stack). It's impossible to save the image
because krita keep saying that an operation in pending. Progress bar stay at 0%
in the small dialog and down the mainwindows but at 33% in the layer stacks
next to the global selection mask.

At another try it was possible to close the image, but krita froze !

P.S. unified transform tool works fine.

P.P.S. The file was created in a development version (commit
fcd632f69e5a4980255f0c53115c8463a397047f ) where the bug was also present.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open the file in the given url (it's the one that cause the problem)
2. The global selection mask should be set, ready to reproduce the bug
3. Try to use perspective tool on it.
(it also happen if you create a new image A3, 300 DPI, select a simple circle
and try to use perspective tool on the selection mask).

Actual Results:
Krita freeze, or other uncool stuff happen to the selection mask.

Expected Results:
Get a warning it's impossible to transform selection mask or the transformation
work correctly.

I was thinking it's a problem with instant preview. I tried with instant
preview on and off but it doesn't change so much.

to be split accordingly.

The following changes in packages were needed for KF5:

[kio] [Bug 289083] Using WebDAV open dialog does not detect the mimetype and not open the default program

2016-06-16 Thread Alejandro Moreno Calvo via KDE Bugzilla

Definitely there was a problem with webdav configurate using CPanel. You can
see more info in
https://forums.cpanel.net/threads/case-104037-webdavs-server-webdisk-sending-wrong-mime-type.410812/

I don't know if in recent versions of CPanel the bug was corrected but i think
that we can close this bug.

I have seen that some webdav servers seen mimetype 'httpd/unix-file' when they
can not obtain the correct mimetype (Example
https://rt.cpan.org/Public/Bug/Display.html?id=60883 ) I don't know if in this
case a workaround to ignore this default mimetype could be sense.
