[kwin] [Bug 365799] New: Graphical corruption and display stops updating when connecting external monitor through HDMI

2016-07-17 Thread Artur O . via KDE Bugzilla
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=365799

Bug ID: 365799
Summary: Graphical corruption and display stops updating when
connecting external monitor through HDMI
   Product: kwin
   Version: 5.7.0
  Platform: Archlinux Packages
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: glx
  Assignee: kwin-bugs-n...@kde.org
  Reporter: commander.alch...@gmail.com

Laptop: Asus Zenbok UX32VD

I cannot remember when it started but it was sometimes after the Plasma 2 (I
think). When connecting an external display through HDMI the laptop screen
stops updating while the second monitor works fine.

Using Kwin_X11 --replace after connecting the second screen mostly fixes this
however sometimes after a while i get weird graphical corruption, like an old
TV monitor (CRT) from the 90's in horror movies that it flashes and weird
visual screen noise occurring. Drop-down terminal that just flashes and shows
partially.

Doing an kwin replace fixes this, switching to another backend from GLX to EGL
mitigates things ie, wont trigger the screen freeze on HDMI connection and also
does not have those graphical corruptions but it dooes not update/repaint
windows correctly all the time.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. UX32VD ready
2. Connect something to HDMI
3. Laptop Screen freezes

Actual Results:
Screen stops updating on laptop, and or graphical corruption...

Expected Results:
working environment.

OK. Here is an example email sent to a office365 account. When retrieved and

[ark] [Bug 365798] New: Extraction fails when the filename has a % in it

2016-07-17 Thread via KDE Bugzilla
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=365798

Bug ID: 365798
Summary: Extraction fails when the filename has a % in it
   Product: ark
   Version: 16.04.2
  Platform: Debian unstable
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
  Assignee: elvis.angelac...@kdemail.net
  Reporter: didi.deb...@cknow.org
CC: rak...@freebsd.org, rthoms...@gmail.com

When I right-click in dolphin on a .deb file
(ksshaskpass_4%3a5.6.5-1_amd64.deb) and choose "Extract -> Extract archive
here, autodetect subfolder", I just get a msg "The following files could not be
extracted: ".
When opening it in ark, it shows its contents and when I then choose the
Extract button with "Extraction into subfolder" selected (value:
ksshaskpass_4%3a5.6.5-1_amd64), it does extract them and create the subfolder,
but the files are extracted to the same folder as the .deb file and not in the
created subfolder.

When I remove the % in the filename, it all works as expected.
I tried this both on a zip file and the mentioned .deb file.

Labels of desktop items in Folder View now have various glitches after wake.

We got new Nvidia drivers this weekend, but after an update, reboot, suspend
and wake, I see there's very much still issues here, at least for me. The
corruption is actually more "diverse" this time.

This bug also affects me. I was unable to start my system again.
However, I found that "lvm2" was not installed anymore on my system. I guess a
"apt full-upgrade" removed it without me noticing it.

To fix the problem, I needed to run a live system, open my luks partition, and
chroot into the installed system. Then I simply ran "apt install lvm2" and
rebooted. Now my system works again.

So I guess there is a problem with package dependencies that lvm2 got removed
during an update?

this:

Theresa May schließt erstmal die Behörde, die für ...
https://blog.fefe.de/?ts=a97479f6
https://blog.fefe.de/?ts=a97479f6

As you can see, there is a link with the URL "/?ts=a998af0c". That link results
in "file:///?ts=a998af0c" when i click it in Akregator. I would agree that
relative URLs in a RSS feed are a little strange at best, but if there is a
better way than assuming local file system locations it might improve the real
world experience of users.

[plasma-nm] [Bug 365793] New: Network-Manager loses wifi connection display in active connections list

2016-07-17 Thread via KDE Bugzilla

Bug ID: 365793
Summary: Network-Manager loses wifi connection display in

   Product: plasma-nm
   Version: 5.6.5
  Platform: Fedora RPMs
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED

  Assignee: lu...@kde.org
  Reporter: slartibar...@gmail.com
CC: jgrul...@redhat.com

Having an active wifi connection to, say a 'network1'.

Playing around with ethernet-connections (and, e.g. setting ip adresses from
automatic to manual and back because of tests with a new router) i experienced
that the popup with the 'active connections' does lose the - still active -
wifi entry.
Going to a shell and checking with 'nmcli d wifi' i see that i am still
connected to 'network1'. (which is, btw, still working properly!)

I then could only disconnect using nmcli and reconnected with the network-popup
in the systray.

This is rather annoying as i would expect the systray network popup to reflect
the active connections...?

Reproducible: Didn't try

[plasmashell] [Bug 365792] Folder View widget cannot show hidden files, filters hide everything

2016-07-17 Thread Michael Yagliyan via KDE Bugzilla
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=365792

Also, not to be pedantic, but the option under Filter does say "Show All Files"
and that is clearly not what is happening. It should say "Show All Visible
Files" or "Show All Non-Hidden Files".

If an option were to be added to show hidden files, it would probably be okay
to leave the filter option called "Show All Files" since the presence of an
option for hidden files would imply that "All" does not actually mean all.

[plasmashell] [Bug 365792] New: Folder View widget cannot show hidden files, filters hide everything

2016-07-17 Thread Michael Yagliyan via KDE Bugzilla
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=365792

Bug ID: 365792
Summary: Folder View widget cannot show hidden files, filters
hide everything
   Product: plasmashell
   Version: 5.5.5
  Platform: Gentoo Packages
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: Folder
  Assignee: h...@kde.org
  Reporter: burnsmellfact...@gmail.com
CC: plasma-b...@kde.org

The Folder View widget in my panel won't show hidden files. There does not
seem to be an explicit option to show them (I had such an option in the
QuickAccess widget using Plasma 4). When I tried to use the Filter feature, it
would hide everything.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Add a Folder View widget to your panel, go to its Settings.
2. Specify a folder which contains hidden files or folders.
3. Note how there is no setting for showing hidden files/folders.
4. Go to the Filter section, select the "Show Files Matching" option, then set
the pattern to this: .*
6. Hit OK.
7. Click on the Folder View widget's icon in the panel to open the listing. No
hidden files are shown. In fact no contents are shown at all.
8. Go back to the Filter section of the settings and change the pattern to *
and select all of the file types. Hit OK.
9. Repeat step 7 -- still nothing.

Actual Results:
When using the filters, no files/directories were shown.

Expected Results:
Even if there is some hidden feature/bug which is hiding hidden files, I would
still expect non-hidden files matching the pattern to be shown. Instead
nothing was shown at all. I also do expect there to be a setting or some way
to get hidden files to be shown.

[digikam] [Bug 341111] MYSQL : deleting an image involves "too many" queries

2016-07-17 Thread via KDE Bugzilla
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=34

--- Comment #10 from caulier.gil...@gmail.com ---
Swati, Roy,

In theory, 2K of request for 1K of items is logic. To display icon view, for
each item, from the database we need :

1/ the image information as comments, tags, rating, labels, GPS, etc.
2/ the thumbnail.

But, we have the cache between icon view and database.

So, i suspect 2 points :

1/ for obscur reason the cache was broken when the report have been written,
2/ the cache was not enough large for 1K items.

I just tested, and i'm sure that at least, cache for thumbnails work fine (100
items here).

[systemsettings] [Bug 365786] New: Mouse button used for gestures cannot be used in normal way

2016-07-17 Thread via KDE Bugzilla
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=365786

Bug ID: 365786
Summary: Mouse button used for gestures cannot be used in
normal way
   Product: systemsettings
   Version: 5.7.0
  Platform: Neon Packages
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: kcm_khotkeys
  Assignee: k...@michael-jansen.biz
  Reporter: c2953...@pjjkp.com

When enabling mouse gestures, the associated button loses its normal function
when an application with enabled mouse gestures is focused, eg. the context
menu cannot be opened when the right mouse button is used for gestures.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Go to System Settings → Own Shortcuts and enable gestures.
2. Use the right mouse button for gestures (on my system it’s button number 3).
3. Open the Konequeror gestures (which are there by default), go to the
Conditions tab and change the condition to “window title”: “contains”:
“Firefox” and apply the changed
4. Open Firefox.

Actual Results:
Drawing a gesture (eg. move down) triggers an action, but the right mouse
button can no longer be used to open the context menu.

Expected Results:
Gestures work and context menu can be opened when right mouse button is used
without drawing a gesture.

Reproducible with latest KDE neon build:
neon-devedition-gitunstable-20160714-0806-amd64.iso
System Settings 5.7.90
KDE Frameworks 5.25.0
Qt 5.7.0 built against 5.7.0

[akregator] [Bug 365785] New: Support relative links

2016-07-17 Thread via KDE Bugzilla
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=365785

Bug ID: 365785
   Summary: Support relative links
   Product: akregator
   Version: unspecified
  Platform: Debian unstable
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
  Assignee: kdepim-b...@kde.org
  Reporter: h...@gmx.de

Would it be possible to support relative links in RSS posts? Using the host the
feed was fetched from might be a good idea. Currently those links are turned to
'file://', i.e., local filesystem links which is probably not the right thing
in most cases.

[akregator] [Bug 365784] New: Protocol shortcut '\\' is turned to 'file://'

2016-07-17 Thread via KDE Bugzilla
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=365784

Bug ID: 365784
Summary: Protocol shortcut '\\' is turned to 'file://'
   Product: akregator
   Version: unspecified
  Platform: Debian unstable
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
  Assignee: kdepim-b...@kde.org
  Reporter: h...@gmx.de

I am not entirely sure what version of using Akregator I am using. My package
manager calls it 16.04.02 while the program itself identifies as 5.2.2. As both
versions are not selectable I left it blank.

About my problem: A few RSS feeds I have subscribed (for example GIMP's) use
'\\' to varying degree for links in the posts. The problem is that Akregator
resolves those to 'file://' which might be technically correct, but it's
entirely useless. Would it be possible to use the protocol used to retrieve the
feed instead? So either 'http://' or 'https://' in most cases.

Thanks in advance
Tobias

Hy to all!

I think that the expected result is "no query" at all, we already have all the
info of the folder, so why reload ?

At the time of the bug report my programming knowledge was "scarce", but now I
think I can even try to fix this!

I download now the code and start looking around, do anyone has suggestion on
where to start ?

The Blur effect description says: "Blurs the background of semi-transparent

But it seems to only work for the Plasma widget Application Dashwoard, and does
not work with other windows like Konsole of Firefox, or tooltip pop-ups.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1a. Move a window with Alt key and mouse click.
or
1b. Move the mouse over some widget with a tooltip so that a pop-up appears.

Actual Results:
1a. The window becomes transparent and has not blur effect.

1b. The pop-up is transparent without blur.

Expected Results:
A transparent and blurred window.

The blur effect is active with the default settings.

Using kubuntu 16.04 with Plasma 5.6.5. I've configured the date and time widget
to display time and date. It displayed correctly date and time sind today
morning. But suddenly the time is not displayed, only the date.
