1.0.3 also works on Arch. Like JG mentioned in comment 5, I had to unpair and
pair my devices again, but no problems apart from that.

[konqueror] [Bug 373824] Konqueror 16.12 is missing the sidebar

2016-12-24 Thread Cochise César
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=373824

--- Comment #9 from Cochise César  ---
After seeing the actual code, it is a relatively small codebase (5,1 kloc) and
is highly modular, so porting it to frameworks five is a activity I can pick.
Maybe I can fix the base and the history plugin for the next release.
But I not able to discuss what would be he best solution in long term.

Since Neon was upgraded to 5.8.4 it is no longer possible to open cbz comic
books. Same books used to open fine in earlier versions of Okular/Neon. Same
books open fine in other software e.g. Evince and Comix.

JG  changed:

--- Comment #5 from JG  ---
(In reply to Albert Vaca from comment #4)
> Can you confirm if this happens to every gentoo user, or is it
> setup-specific?

Not all Gentoo users. I confirmed that 1.0.1 was OK, updated to 1.0.3 which is
the latest in Portage and rebooted my laptop. I had to re-pair my Samsung S6
but apart from that, no problems.

I also have an Arch laptop (wife's) and a separate phone at home, and a Gentoo
desktop at work, to which I have to route through a firewall from one VLAN to
another. The firewall has an allow rule for TCP/UDP 1714-1764 allowed to the
desktop.

None of these combinations has ever failed to work for me.

In response to: "Why is there a listener only on TCPv6 and UDPv6?" - that will
include IPv4 as well. To prove it, if you have CUPS installed locally then
point your browser at 127.0.0.1:631 and verify it listens on ::1:631/tcp6.
Failing that, install a webserver like Apache or nginx and do a similar
experiment.

The ICMP response is "destination port unreachable" I'm pretty sure either the
kdeconnect daemon is not listening for some reason or a firewall is in the way.

The flatpak id should be the same as the desktop file, which in turn should be
the same as the appdata file.

Feel free to submit a patch with the fixed json (either directly or through
phabricator for review).

Happy holidays!

[kwin] [Bug 374129] New: KDE Crash exactly one time per boot up session

2016-12-24 Thread Michael
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=374129

Bug ID: 374129
   Summary: KDE Crash exactly one time per boot up session
   Product: kwin
   Version: 5.8.4
  Platform: Ubuntu Packages
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Keywords: drkonqi
  Severity: crash
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
  Assignee: kwin-bugs-n...@kde.org
  Reporter: mwinth...@comcast.net
  Target Milestone: ---

Application: kwin_x11 (5.8.4)

Qt Version: 5.6.1
Frameworks Version: 5.28.0
Operating System: Linux 4.4.0-57-lowlatency x86_64
Distribution: Ubuntu 16.04.1 LTS

-- Information about the crash:
- What I was doing when the application crashed:
On this occasion I was opening LibreOffice for the first time after
re-installing it. See below for repeatability with other applications.

- History of this error:
Prior to the gigantic update I installed 21 Dec 2016 this same error occured
except I could not install the debug tools. I tried to create a manual report
but never succeeded.
   1) I upgraded from Kubuntu 14.04 to Kubuntu 16.04 over a year ago. The
process crashed during installation. I used a list of all the instllation
systems and completed all the missing items successfully. There were some
concerns that remain:
a) On startup Cadence would not auto start: "Bridge type:
ALSA->Loop->Jack" each time I started from boot up. It auto-started every
second time. This is still true and repeatable.
b) Window decorations would not show the title bar (hidden above the
left corner of the screen). Must use to move window. This
is still true and repeatable.
c) Most applications start up w/o kde plasma crash when first window is
started, however, if that application opens a second window, the crash occurs.
This is still true and repeatable.
d) Once a crash has occured, further crashes generally do not occur.
This is true whether I restart KDE (Plasma) or not.
e) Icons on the desktop could not be . An error
about the format of the icon link is sees. The same icon could be to open the application. No icon worked. This changed but not for the
best. (see below - same issue)
f) The partition reports itself as Ubuntu 14.04

2) I think I have two copies of KDE (Plasma) running at the same time and one
interferes with the other until on crashes.

3) I currently have some new problems, however I was now able to install kde
debug tools.:
a) On startup Cadence would not auto start: "Bridge type:
ALSA->Loop->Jack" each time I started from boot up. It auto-started every
second time. This is still true and repeatable.
b) Window decorations would not show the title bar (hidden above the
left corner of the screen). Must use to move window. This
is still true and repeatable.
c) Most applications start up w/o kde plasma crash when first window is
started, however, if that application opens a second window, the crash occurs.
This is still true and repeatable.
d) Once a crash has occured, further crashes generally do not occur.
This is true whether I restart KDE (Plasma) or not.
e) Some Icons on the desktop can not open .
i) E.g., a desktop folder: An error about the file system being
unwritable occurs. The same icon could be to open the
application with the same error ("dolphin - KDialog... Configuration file
'/home/dad/.config/dolphinrc" not writable. Please contact your system
administrator') occurs. After acknowledging the error, the folder opens in
dolphin (both cases). Now some icons work. This change is still not for the
best.
ii) I had the same problem for LibreOffice and looked at the
file directory in question. It was marked drwxr--r-- O set it to drwxrwxrwx
but this still failed. I did a purge and deleted the directory. The re-install
fixed it.
iii) "-rw-r--r-- 1 root root  2055 Aug  3 17:16 dolphinrc" is
what I see. Since dolphin is run by the O/S, Once started, dolphin can start
other applications the read and write.
iv) on a folder and select does nothing.
v) on a folder and select then select
 and then and the plasma desktop changes to large icons,
reorganized. I did not select "use this every time" option. The file system
application that opens is "files", not dolphin. "file does not complain ("file
- KDialog... Configuration file '/home/dad/.config/filetyperc" not writable.
Please contact your system administrator') if I select dolphin, it complains
and then works. konqurer and Gwenview have no problems. Kid3-qt works but is
not a file system application. One wonders why writaility is needed. I used
chmod 646 dolphinrc and the error went away.
f) The partition reports itself as Ubuntu 14.04

[frameworks-kio] [Bug 374128] New: Accessing an smb:// fails by showing the authentication dialog again

2016-12-24 Thread Gregor Mi
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=374128

Bug ID: 374128
   Summary: Accessing an smb:// fails by showing the
authentication dialog again
   Product: frameworks-kio
   Version: 5.28.0
  Platform: Other
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
  Assignee: fa...@kde.org
  Reporter: codestr...@posteo.org
CC: kdelibs-b...@kde.org
  Target Milestone: ---

Background
--
I would like to setup a shared folder for the local home network. I use
openSUSE 42.1 and Plasma 5.28.0. To test the setup I try to access the
configured share from the same machine.

Using dolphin
-
I enter smb://user1@localhost/myfolder/ into the address bar and the
authentication dialog appears. I enter username and password and the dialog
appears again. On the console where I started dolphin there is no further
explanation for this error. Then I get the message "Access denied to...".

How to track down the error?

To find the root cause of this error I tried to mount the samba share via
command line:

```
$ sudo mount -t cifs -o user=user1 //127.0.0.1/myfolder
/home/user1/tmp/mntsmbtest/
Password for user1@//127.0.0.1/myfolder:  *
mount error(5): Input/output error
Refer to the mount.cifs(8) manual page (e.g. man mount.cifs)
```

As recommended here
(https://www.thomas-krenn.com/de/wiki/Windows_Freigabe_unter_Linux_mounten) I
used the cifs filesystem instead of smbfs.

The "Input/output error" I got is described here:
http://www.linuxquestions.org/questions/linux-networking-3/cifs-mount-error-5-%3D-input-output-error-but-smbfs-works-456897/
One solution there is to use sec=ntml but this does not work (because I do not
connect to a windows host but to my own openSuSE host where I didn't configure
anything special)

How would you start to track down the root cause of the problem?

Is using a Samba share even the recommended way of sharing a folder in the
local network nowadays?

I just had the same crash. I changed volume and then kwin kept crashing until I
managed to kill plasmashell.

Does this have anything to do with your "update OSD when its size changes"

All the reports appear to be doing a forex rate lookup based on the post date
of the transaction rather than the actual rate used. From looking at the
generated XML, the correct forex rate is stored in the split transaction (rate
= shares / value) but any fix would be complicated by the fact that this rate
may have nothing to do with the currently set base currency. One would
presumably have to look at the currency of the account on other side of the
split and if it is the same as the base currency then the (shares/value) can be
used as the forex rate for reporting.

Created attachment 102981

You can see actual selected files vs. "Number of files" vs files which get
imported. I cannot import what I select (but "Number of files" and the actual
imported files are correlated)

Hello,

I have a bug regarding selecting files in "Code Importing Wizard" on Windows
10.

Operating System:
Windows 10 (latest update as far as I know at 24.10.2016)

Program:
Umbrello UML Modeller version 2.21.0 - windows 64 build (Windows 10) - latest
build for Windows

Program downloaded from:
http://mirror.klaus-uwe.me/kde/ftp/stable/umbrello/2.21.0/win64/umbrello-x86_64-w64-mingw32-2.21.0.ec4653c-31.1-1.1-setup.exe

KDE library:
KDE Development Platform 4.14.60 (packaged with Umbrello windows 64 bit setup).

Steps to reproduce the bug:
menu Code -> submenu "Code Importing Wizard" (with "C++" chosen from drop-down,
with "Include Subdirectories" true, with List of file extensions "*.mqh,
*.mt4")

Bugs regarding file/folder selection:
1. "Include Subdirectories." doesn't work on this version at all.
2. When I select the files for which I need code importing, the number of files
in "Number of files" is wrong. If I might guess the bug, when I select a
directory (with double click), the number of files gets decreased by the number
of subdirectories in the directory and I lose code importing for as many files,
as I had subdirectories (no idea which files get to import and which doesn't).
3. Because of the weird way selection works, when I press next, I only get the
number of files counted (if I have "Number of files: 7", I get to import 7
files, even though I have many more other files selected - see attachment for
this example).

So.. somehow, selecting directories with double click gets the number of files
decreased and I cannot import properly (I don't even know which files gets
excluded).

Thank you for solving the bug.

When entering transactions, and you tab to the date field, the cursor lands on
the day part of the date. If we are in Europe where the date format is dd/mm
this would be fine. But I am in the good on arrogant USA and this makes data
entry a bother. I have to back arrow or mouse click back to the month part of
the mm/dd formatted date filed. I can't use backspace since it will keep on the
day part while deleting the day.

Can we get a configuration setting for this or get the program to test the
local date format and land on the first component not be fixed on landing on
the day.

Also, could the tab movement be for jumping to the next date part not the next
field?

These are convenience things, but every time, which is once or twice a year
when I update everything, I get frustrated.

Happy Holidays.

First, what version are you using, and on what platform? I have plenty of OFX
transactions that import as dividend, that I change to reinvest-dividend, and
it works fine for me. Can you provide the full text of the error?

GBP Account and EUR Category example to reproduce bug

I reproduced this on 4.8.0 (Ubuntu) so 4.7.2 (OSX) behaviour may be different.
Using the attached file, it can be seen that the ledger view is correct but the
"Transactions by Month" report is converting the 80 EUR transaction to 120 GBP
using the incorrect exchange rate on 20/12/2016. It is using the GBP/EUR
exchange rate entered for the second transaction (300GBP=200EUR) instead of the
rate entered for the first transaction (100GBP=80EUR).

[kmymoney4] [Bug 358129] Changing dividend transaction to reinvested dividend transaction after import of QIF/QFX file on online banking update.

2016-12-24 Thread Joe Byers
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=358129

--- Comment #2 from Joe Byers  ---
Can we revisit this for year end? It also has a problem with online banking.

I have transactions generated by an online banking update that are dividend
transactions. I need to change them to reinvest dividend Transactions.

When I do this, I get an missing assignment issue flagged. My only fix is to
entered a new reinvest dividend transaction and delete the merged transactions.
 This defeats the purpose of the automation:).

I appreciate the help and Happy Holidays.

when I have a dab that is fully opaque,like a leaf, and then activate "color as
mask" the color is applied correctly,but the brush becomes semi-transparent.

This should not happen ,i believe.

it should work completely the same as the original color,and then let you use
opacity dynamics to influence opacity

[plasmashell] [Bug 374014] Plasmashell renders fonts in QT5-Apps pixelated

2016-12-24 Thread David Edmundson
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=374014

--- Comment #9 from David Edmundson  ---
OK, maybe I should limit the scaling to integer or at least .5's.

Whilst it normally work pretty well, the few places that don't have proper
high DPI support natively have the artefacts exacerbated.

Locally set it to 1.5 or 2 in the UI. You can fine tune the font DPI afterwards
indepently.

As for the 3 examples, those need fixing in the respective applications. There
is nothing we can do on the plasma side about that. Can you file individual
bugs on the respective applications (kmail and okular) so that they can be
tracked there please.

I'll file the report for the font installer.

One very good text feature about Krita is that the text for all the captions

feature.

Hi John,

We know the text tool, to put it mildly, is not good... It comes originally
from Calligra Words, with which we shared the code. It's probably fine for a
real word processor, but it's not a good fit for Krita, and it's rather buggy.

We've done a fund raiser in 2016 to replace it wholesale, and that work is
supposed to start early next year, after we've done refactoring the vector
tools and adding Python scripting.

All that the media player applet does is ask the application to raise itself.
It it doesn't, that's a bug in the application. It does work with Nuvola
player, for instance. The application can also announce that it doesn't support
raising itself (for example VLC player) at which point the media player will
not offer this option.

Try calling the method directly to see whether the bug is on our side or the
player's:
qdbus org.mpris.MediaPlayer2.PLAYERNAME /org/mpris/MediaPlayer2
org.mpris.MediaPlayer2.Raise

The "CanRaise" property tells you whether the application claims to be able to
honor such requests.

[kdevelop] [Bug 374116] New: CMake Projectmanager, compile_commands.json and projects that don't compile anything

2016-12-24 Thread RJVB
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=374116

Bug ID: 374116
   Summary: CMake Projectmanager, compile_commands.json and
projects that don't compile anything
   Product: kdevelop
   Version: git master
  Platform: unspecified
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: Build tools: CMake
  Assignee: kdevelop-bugs-n...@kde.org
  Reporter: rjvber...@gmail.com
  Target Milestone: ---

It took me a while to undestand this terminal output:

```
kdevelop.projectmanagers.cmake: error. Could not find the file
".../kapidox-git/build/CMakeCache.txt"
kdevelop.projectmanagers.cmake: Could not import CMake project
".../kapidox-git" ('compile_commands.json' missing)
kdevelop.projectmanagers.cmake: error. Could not find the file
".../kapidox-git/build/CMakeCache.txt"
kdevelop.projectmanagers.cmake: Could not import CMake project
".../kapidox-git" ('compile_commands.json' missing)
```

generated when I opened a project for the KApidox directory. This project
contains only python files that are installed without any need for compilation,
so it stands to reason that CMake doesn't generate such a file.

I think the CMake project manager should be able to handle this one way or
another, without attempting multiple (lots of) times.

Btw there is already an old report with a lot of duplicates, all from KDE4
versions of Dolphin. So this really seems fixed in newer releases.

[ksplash] [Bug 374114] New: KSplash quits before Plasma is fully loaded

2016-12-24 Thread beojan
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=374114

Bug ID: 374114
   Summary: KSplash quits before Plasma is fully loaded
   Product: ksplash
   Version: 5.8.4
  Platform: Other
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
  Assignee: l.lu...@kde.org
  Reporter: beo...@gmail.com
  Target Milestone: ---

It appears KSplash quits when Plasma *starts* loading rather than when it has
finished loading. Perhaps it's making assumptions which held in the KDE 3 era
when the desktop consisted of multiple processes, but no longer hold since
everything is drawn by plasmashell.

@Mauro: you are using a very old version of Dolphin. Could you try to connect
your HDD using a more recent Dolphin release?

Sorry this is a very old version of Dolphin. Please re-open if you can
reproduce the crash also on a supported version.
