I noticed that a lot of images I downloaded from a Samsung S3 smartphone have a history showing "Derived Images And Identical Images That Are Neither Derived Nor Identical". See attachment! It seems that all these images in the history are edited by digiKam, at least the metadata. If I go to one of these images it also shows this screwed up history. Their VLC is still using Qt4, and KF5 applications crash when they try to play a notification sound with the phonon-backend-vlc". Regarding the openSUSE crash on mysql start the forum thread also says that this is about to be fixed in Tumbleweed by cleaning up stale socket files, dunno if this only affects Tumbleweed though. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
[kwin] [Bug 375389] Kwin chrashes when adding new album
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=375389 Martin Gräßlinchanged: What|Removed |Added Status|UNCONFIRMED |RESOLVED Resolution|--- |DUPLICATE --- Comment #7 from Martin Gräßlin --- This is a technical bug tracker and in order to fix bugs we need to keep to some rules. One of the rules is "one issue per bug report" another is "the issue is described in the first comment". You reported a crash through our crash reporting tool. This crash is in Aurorae. Thus this bug report is about the issue about aurorae and nothing else. If you want to report another issue, please report a new bug. For us developers it's impossible to manage bugs if reports are about multiple and different issues. Please understand this. We get every day for KWin about 5 new bug reports. One of our main task is just to manage them. Fixing happens at a different time. In order to fix bugs the reports need to be in a high quality. They must be precise. A developer must be able to look at it and understand where the bug is. If a bug report mentions multiple issues in different areas it's not possible. In this specific case: a developer will look at the first comment, see the well known Aurorae issue and move on. So I kindly ask to leave this bug report as a duplicate and to report any other issue as a new bug report. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 361236 *** -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[kwin] [Bug 363224] Kwin crashes from time to time (this time using Virtual Machine Manager)
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=363224 --- Comment #52 from A. Wilcox (awilfox)--- If it helps any, I can relay that I am using Translucency, but none of the Dialogue (Base, Parent, etc) effects are enabled. Again, on amdgpu.ko with a Radeon R9 270. I will gladly test the patch on my system; though I run in to this so rarely that I can't reliably reproduce it, I can still ensure it does not do any further damage either. My system is always under heavy load because the I/O is crap due to buggy/bad SATA drivers. So I cannot comment on whether that causes it or not. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[plasmashell] [Bug 375257] VirtualBox mini toolbar doesn't respond to mouse clicks
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=375257 --- Comment #8 from Mike E.--- I installed both Gnome 3 and Enlightenment on Kubuntu (not virtualized) now. The VirtualBox mini toolbar works perfectly on both Gnome 3 and Enlightenment (as well as KDE 4). So, I'm back to my initial report that this issue is certainly tied directly to KDE 5. I'm obviously no expert, but I still feel like it is a window management issue. Any ideas other than KWin and Plasmashell that could be responsible for this issue? -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[digikam] [Bug 375474] New: Renaming People Tag Causes Unpredictable Sort Order
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=375474 Bug ID: 375474 Summary: Renaming People Tag Causes Unpredictable Sort Order Product: digikam Version: 5.4.0 Platform: Other OS: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: AlbumsView Assignee: digikam-de...@kde.org Reporter: hardy.pub...@gmail.com Target Milestone: --- In People Tags, right clicking then renaming in the Properties dialogue causes a semi random sort order. If I have the following to start with: Albert Annie F Arnold H : Zoe Then right-click -> Properties then rename "Annie F" to "Annie A", the sort order in People Tags might be: Albert Arnold H Annie A : Zoe Note the placement of Annie appears semi-random. If I repeat the test, sometimes Annie A appears after Zoe. Albert Arnold H : Zoe Annie A Also note that opening the Tag Manager does not have the problem. The correct order is restored if I restart DigiKam to Albert Annie A Arnold H : Zoe -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
[digikam] [Bug 374091] Theme application menu icons combine theme with icon theme.
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=374091 --- Comment #2 from Geoff King--- I like the idea of combining the two. I think it would be a good simplification to have these settings in the same place or combined. I have a couple suggestions depending on the OS used (Mac or Windows). These could be considered separate, but I'll group here for now as they are interrelated. For Mac 10.11: -On Mac the background of the system menus (for example the Browse menu at top of screen) always remain the same gray color, regardless of the theme or icons selected [this is different than on Windows]. The icon colors do affect the colors in these menus and the "Breeze Dark" icons are too light (white on gray). So the Mac version should always use icons and text that have a dark color such as "Breeze" in these menus regardless of other settings. -The icons and text in the GUI (Such as Properties on the right side or Albums on the left) are dependent on the selected color theme and icon scheme. Below is a map of recommended Themes combined with Icons to use in the GUI Mac : Theme Name - GUI Icons Default - Breeze Black Body - Breeze Dark Color Contrast - Breeze Dark Dark Room - Breeze Dark Gray Card - Breeze Dark High Key - Breeze Low Key - Breeze Dark Shade Of Gray - Breeze Dark Sunset Color - Breeze Dark White Balance - Breeze Windows: This is a little different. All the menus have the same color background. So the same matrix of themes and icons can be used for all.. You could use the same map list as above. Additionally I've adjusted the names below so that they all have spaces in them (can report a separate bug for this if you like) -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[digikam] [Bug 123097] SCAN : ignore some directories in digiKam [patch]
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=123097 --- Comment #45 from caulier.gil...@gmail.com --- Jan, I'm not fully satisfied by this patch. 1/ we must set a default ignore list of files/directories already know as problematic while scanning collections For example : - under MacOS, .DS_Store hidden files are created everywhere by Desktop search engines. This bloat disk of course but there is no way that i know to disable this feature. - Under Linux/Plasma, Dolphin files manager permit to customize icon view order by directory. This generate .directory hidden files. - Under Linux/Plasma, the trash tool create an hidden directory .Trash-_userid_ with a content of deleted files. This one must be ignored by digiKam. And i forget certainly some hidden files/directories under other desktops as Gnome or Windows. I propose to set a list that we know already to ignore. This list must be visible by end user from config panel, like it's already done in View/Mime-Type section for each setting. [plasmashell] [Bug 375460] New: Panel doesn't disappear when using Steam Big Picture
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=375460 Bug ID: 375460 Summary: Panel doesn't disappear when using Steam Big Picture Product: plasmashell Version: 5.8.5 Platform: Archlinux Packages OS: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: minor Priority: NOR Component: Panel Assignee: plasma-b...@kde.org Reporter: darkwingbuc...@gmail.com Target Milestone: 1.0 If you enter Steam Big Picture, the panel disappears fine, but if you open and close a game, there's a delay between when the game closes and when Big Picture reappears. When that happens, the panel won't disappear unless Big Picture is closed and opened again, so it just sits on top of Big Picture. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

Current git master is in use (instead of 2.5.0 as far as another bug fix is not released yet). Copying or moving to cifs-mounted folder doesn't update destination panel. [valgrind] [Bug 374940] i386: Stack access at -1(%%esp)
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=374940 --- Comment #7 from Julian Seward--- FWIW, the ppc32-elf ABI says Data in the stack segment at addresses below the stack pointer contain undefined values. The ppc64-elf ABI says As discussed later in this chapter, the lowest valid stack address is 288 bytes less than the value in the stack pointer. (ppc64-ELF has a 288 byte red zone, so this says, in effect, any address below the redzone is invalid). You might be able to argue that for x86-linux, with the kernel sources as they now stand, that libev is "safe". But for sure you can't say it's portable. Will the same guarantees hold on, eg, x86-freebsd? Or for non-x86 architectures on Linux? -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

Page fault based stack extension only applies to the main thread's stack. Why does libev have to be non-conforming in this way? https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=368374 --- Comment #3 from Roman Gilg--- Since it's in 5.8, it is probably not related to the tooltip redesign in 5.9. I speculate, that it's because of all thumbnails being rendered at the same time. To confirm this, try to minimize most of the 50 windows. Then thumbnail loading should be aborted (as long as not activated in system settings) and there should be no freeze. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
