This "policy" has never been confirmed from our side, it's one sided. We even
don't know about it. We can't support all the downstream distros. Unstable is

xsession-errors during wakeup

If the computer is unused, the screen is blanked after a while and the monitor
goes to power save mode.
If I then move the mouse and/or hit a key on the keyboard, it takes roughly 15s
before I can see my desktop:  The monitor power first goes on, but the screen
stays black.  After some 8-10s the monitor goes back into powersave mode, and
only after 15 s it powers on again to show my desktop.  I have not seen this
before.
The Monitor is a Dell P2415Q (4k) Monitor, the graphics card an NVidia GTX 1060
6GB (GP106-A) using driver version 375.26

You could try to make a tablet log and see if krita finds the wintab dll at all
-- use debugview to capture the log. The problem is unlikely to be in Krita's
code: it's much more likely to be in the driver, which might not keep track of

Hmm with KF 5.29.0/kate 16.08.3/Qt 5.6.2 here, it doesn't work. Either there's
something else at play or a regression was introduced in 5.28.0→5.29.0 or
16.04.3→16.08.3. Strange.

In c++, with automatic brackets on, indentation set to "C style" and using
tabs, when I write something that uses brackets (for example the body of an
if-case), the brackets go to wrong positions and the indentation is all bad.

For example ( means tab, . means space, | is the caret position):

I have something like this:
int main()
{
while(true)|
}

I press  and go to the next line (as expected with the one extra
indentation more than the while line). Then, pressing the '{' key results in
this:

int main()
{
while(true)
.{|}
}

Notice that the indentation is wrong and using a single space instead of a tab.
The cursor is inside the brackets, as expected.

If I press  once again, I get this:

int main()
{
while(true)
.{
.|
}
}

That is: the first bracket has an space instead of a tab; the body part (where
the caret is) has a tab, as expected, but then a single space (instead of a
second tab); and the second bracket has no indentation at all.


I'm using kubuntu 16.04 but with a ppa to get stable kde backports and another
for kdevelop.
Kate says that it is version 16.04.3, using KDE Frameworks 5.28.0, Qt 5.6.1
(built against 5.6.1), and the xcb windowing system.
KDE Plasma Version is 5.8.5.
Qt Version is 5.6.1.

Thanks for pointing out this, you're right, i just tested and can confirm the
appimage version of kdenlive doesn't crash.

Just learned in Bug344675 that the missing meta data submenu is due to changes
in kipiplugins. It was stated that meta data editing was moved from there
directly to digikam. It would be great if it will find its way back into
kipiplugins so that it can be used in gwenview again.

Hello there,

I have a Windows 10, 64-bit Operating system, and I'm using the 64 bit
version of Krita currently.
I am also currently using a Wacom Intuos 3. As for the Color mode or
Channel depth, I don't really know how
to get that information. I am very new to Krita, and some digital art
programs, in general. However, I did not change any
settings from what came with installation, and I use the preset image size
A3 at 300 PPI. As for Opengl,
there is no difference whether that is enable or disabled. Let me know if
you need more info.

According to bug 370247, less privileged bugzilla users are not able to change

This is problematic when they report a bug in a wrong product/component, but

new component) -OR-

usually a crash of the X11 display server. Please check the end

Digikam developers decided to move some KIPI plugins directly into the Digikam
application, possibly because of the limited way the plugins can interact with
the files, so they are no longer available in other applications using KIPI.

Due to the application defaulting to my locale (Hungary) instead of my system
language, I had to restart, then there's no more pen pressure, and this bug was
apparent in earlier versions too. Restarting the OS or renaming the executable
seems to fix the issue, however the latter causes the application to lose all
settings, the former takes ages due to my slow hard-drives. The KYE EasyPen
tablet is often sold as Genius with the same model number.

If needed, I can help out in debugging, I have a little experience with C++ and
general experience with software development and debugging.

yes exactly.

The new option in setup database must permit to define new combinaison of
ignored directory schemes. By default we must already set in database interface
some problematic schemes that we know already. 

For type mime default scheme, database set these values CoreDbSchemaUpdater
class.

Now to your point regarding a default ignore list: 
The examples you mentioned all begin with a dot and has been ignored by default
anyway. Do I understand you correctly, that you wish to establish a list (as in
View/Mime-Type) with ignored directories (e.g. all that begin with a dot) *just
to inform the user* about this default feature?
If that is your intension, I will add such a list.

SOLVED!!! (For me)

It is really weird why it is now perfect, but now Krita does everything
perfectly!

I had some pressure issues with Photoshop, so I tried reinstall driver, because
I thought what if problem is I installed driver first, then all of other
software. And it worked! Photoshop is now pressure sensitive and Krita doesn't
connect strokes.

I am really happy now. I hope this solution will help you as well!

According to Arch devs [1], this crash might also be caused by an unsupported

I already ditched 16.04 in favor of 16.10 and the lime ppa. It is -
subjectively - much more stable. Though some occasional crashes are still
there.

Same question as z-uo: Where are the debug symbols? The ppa only contains krita
and krita-testing.

We could also put Samsung on a blacklist and ignore Exif.Photo.ImageUniqueID.
Xmp.digiKam.ImageUniqueID is read first and would not be affected.

I don't think it's worth pursuing this because the entire backend code was
replaced and the animation is very very different now in terms of what model
