This is happening while Skype is animating its tray icon, which it does whenever network is down. Closing Skype or bringing the network up stops the CPU overload, therefore it's likely that Plasma is doing some resource-intensive action whenever a tray icon is updated. [kcalc] [Bug 375681] Not correctly handle binary numbers
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=375681 --- Comment #1 from Evan Teran--- So, the issue here is that the number is being interpreted as Octal due to the string format. Typical conventions (that are used by kcalc) echo those of programming languages. Which are that numbers which start with "0x" are hexdecimal, "0" are octal", "0b" binary. Otherwise, it assumes the current mode. [kdenlive] [Bug 371404] Preview render a zone in timeline: not work correct, maybe too tracks..?
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=371404 --- Comment #7 from Wegwerf--- Just for developers' information: with a larger MLT pixmap cache I can now successfully work with 11 track static image compositing. Before, compositing 4 static images was possible, 5 caused performance to drop dead. Preview rendering was, well, rendered useless (sorry for the bad pun), as MLT still trashes the pixmap cache, even with the preview track on top. Recent git master MLT now automatically resizes the pixmap cache, as tracks gets added. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
[kdenlive] [Bug 371404] Preview render a zone in timeline: not work correct, maybe too tracks..?
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=371404 --- Comment #6 from Wegwerf--- Seems we have a daunting language barrier here. Please try to run Kdenlive from a terminal window (bash command line) using an enlarged pixmap cache as described in the G+ post. If you use 5 or more image clips simultaneously (that is, within same timecode region) then this should give you better performance, but probably still less than 25fps: MLT_PIXBUF_PRODUCER_CACHE=10 kdenlive & Please understand that this will only help in case you've hit the current 4 concurrent clips limit while compositing them in the timeline. This does not improve overall performance. Manuel, I don't have time to scan all bug reports whenever I find an issue while working on my projects. This is even more difficult as many bug reports have misleading titles, incomplete or misleading descriptions, and many more issues. I'm helping here as I notice that you may have actually run into this issue, but I noticed only by sheer luck, not because of your bug report. You'll need to check the G+ forum for regular notices about important bugs we discover, as well as for more arcane bugs that we think may affect multiple users. The bug tracker is not a help forum. Please use it with great wisdom, and that includes preparation on the side of bug reporters, so that we can fix bugs. This is not a help forum. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[Breeze] [Bug 375694] Breeze light window decoration missing
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=375694 --- Comment #7 from N. W.--- (In reply to Hugo Pereira Da Costa from comment #6) > Not really no. > > Change that and one will immediately get bug reports about "active window" > is not distinguishable from "inactive". I don't think so. There already is a very good indicator to show if the window is active or not: The text and the buttons in the title bar become grayed out on inactive windows. It's done like that for many other DE's as well as other OSes, so that's actually what the expected behavior would be. (In reply to Hugo Pereira Da Costa from comment #4) > The dark background for the active window title in the breeze-light > decoration is a design choice, decided to make the active window more easily > distinguishable from the inactive ones. See above. You already have the text and the buttons become grayed out for inactive windows, that's enough to distinguish it. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

The effect is for those adventurous enough to brave the beta & give bug feedback is to spin their wheels on functions that are known not done or known not to work. I suggest that declaration of a beta means that, from alpha, a KNOWN NOT DONE list exists (if possibly empty) and, realistically, a KNOWN NOT TO WORK list as well at beta version release time. [digikam] [Bug 123097] SCAN : ignore some directories in digiKam [patch]
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=123097 --- Comment #52 from Jan Wolter--- Hello Gilles, I suppose, we have a misunderstanding here. My patch does not introduce new directories that get ignored by default. Even the @eaDir directory gets ignored only, when a user adds it to the new configuration dialog (the directories are saved as part of DbEngineParameters). My approach was that digikam behaves with my patch but without configuring directories in the new dialog in the same way as in the current version without my patch. Concerning your comment with the info dialog, I thought you want a list including all directories from which we know that they will be ignored. And that’s just all directories starting with a dot. Since, my patch does not introduce additional ignored directories by default, such info dialog with exemplary ignored directories could be skipped. https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=375271 --- Comment #6 from Wegwerf--- What does the title of this bug report read? "v16.12.1 beta for MS Windows complains about missing Breeze icons". So one could imagine that this is what a comment under this title refers to, or is this unimaginable? Next, what is the # of this bug report? It can be found next to the bug report title: 375271. A comment thus usually, see below, refers to this number. Or does this sound far fetched? Did you see the english writing sign for a question in my comment? No? Good. So, a solid assumption would be that it's a statement. Actually, the concept of bug reports and comments in bug reports: the title of a report should be descriptive and referring to the bug being reported. Unless explicitly referencing another bug report, bug report comments are belonging and thus related, to the report they are part of. I hope that clarifies the situation. https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=375639 --- Comment #3 from Alex Bikadorov--- >"Quick search" should work like Dolphin "search" function. It doesn't work for me in Dolphin: a directory called "test_á" is not found with the search string "test_a". Not with filter bar or with "Find" But back to the actual problem: the list view is focused and not the search field line you're typing in. This is for seeing the current item for navigating inside the file view. But filtering key events is tricky now. Writing a letter with accent is not a QKeyPressEvent but a QInputMethodEvent. I would be better to focus the correct widget and find a way to always show current item marker.
