Similar situation here, without an external display. After suspend/resume the
laptop screen is black, no mouse cursor. CTRL+ALT+F[1-6] works but ALT+F7 does
not recover the graphic display.
The suggested workaround using xrandr works for me too.

It seems now that the latest update, i.e. libqt5webenginewidgets5

should fix that one from crashing:

apt-cache rdepends libqt5webenginewidgets5

Seriously, the speed effect is broken.

Just use the "reverse clip" clip job and set a playback speed.
This is the only way I can reliably change the playback speed of a clip in
kdenlive and not have the corruption issues.

[plasmashell] [Bug 375257] VirtualBox mini toolbar doesn't respond to mouse clicks

2017-02-01 Thread Mike E .
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=375257

Well, I'm obviously not an expert so I can't say whether or not that particular
issue is the same as this, but after reading your post and looking at that bug,
I did a little more testing.

I found that if I set the window behavior focus policy to "Focus Under Mouse"
or "Focus Strictly Under Mouse", when I move the mouse to the top edge of the
screen, it raises the VirtualBox mini toolbar like it should and the mouse
cursor changes to the host's cursor theme (again like it should, and like it
always does with my usually setting of "Click To Focus"). Then if I click on
one of the menu items, the guest's screen goes dim (Dim Inactive desktop effect
is turned on for the host), the VirtualBox mini toolbar disappears, the mouse
cursor theme changes back to the guest's theme (because the mouse is now over
the guest's window), and lastly, but most curiously, the host's desktop panels
are displayed. The desktop wallpaper is not displayed, just the panels. This
lasts for as long as the time set by the "Delay focus by" setting, and then the
VirtualBox guest (which the mouse is now over) regains focus and the window
brightens.

So it does appear that this is related to the window focusing. Hope this gives
some more clues to help someone get to the bottom of it.

Thanks,

Mike E.

Attached a kra file, one render without audio, and one render with audio. Both
renders were done with 3.1.2. Still Windows 10 and FFmpeg version: 3.2.2. If
there's anything else you need, let me know.

Ironically, it plays in Dropbox after uploading it there. But on my computer
I'm still getting a black screen no matter what I open it with. (even Firefox)
Also still unable to play the render example video on Krita 3.1 release notes
page.

Side note about the audio. Earlier I was using an Mp3 and it was glitching
badly with playback within Krita (not in render), but for this one I used a Wav
and it seemed to work fine.

[krita] [Bug 375879] TGA doesnt support Alpha channel

2017-02-01 Thread Bronson
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=375879

Actually, it does. But it sets the colors of the RGB channels to black where
there is full alpha. This is the same issue I have with the png exporter also.
So they may be the same bug?

[krita] [Bug 375878] New: Eraser will not switch back to brush after turning Wacom pen back around

2017-02-01 Thread bugzilla_noreply

Bug ID: 375878
Summary: Eraser will not switch back to brush after turning
Wacom pen back around
   Product: krita
   Version: unspecified
  Platform: MS Windows
OS: MS Windows
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: usability
  Assignee: krita-bugs-n...@kde.org
  Reporter: yuknowmyemail...@gmail.com
  Target Milestone: ---

On Krita 3.1.2 when I flip my Wacom pen around to my eraser end it switches to
the eraser in Krita like normal, but when I flip back to the drawing end of my
pen it stays on the eraser and I have to click back to the brush myself. It
will do the same thing when I turn my pen around again. The brush side doesn't
switch back even after waiting or clicking elsewhere.

I'm on Windows 10. I've also redownloaded and reinstalled 3.1.2 to double
check.

Since the last update Discover became very slow when fetching updates.
Downloading then and installing is o.k. (like before).
I noticed this during several updates now, so you can say it's reproducible.
I have no figures right now like time for n updates to fetch but a rough guess
would be ten times as long compared to what I was used to.

I use a computer for drawing and it'll help me so much if I can figure this

PNG supports keeping the color channels bellow the alpha. But there is no way
from krita to enable this.

For example.
Create put an image into krita. Set an alpha channel/mask to full black. Export
the image as png.
Then open the image, and disable the alpha channel. The image comes out a
single black (by default) color.
What I expect is that the image should still be there.

This is for use in game materials and shaders where you need access to all RGBA
channels for blending etc...

[krita] [Bug 375867] Audio import problem

I'm having a somewhat similar problem on Windows 10. I can get the audio in,
but it lagged really bad when I pressed play and started repeating itself and
going slowly even though I wasn't scrubbing. When I was scrubbing it seemed to
be inaccurate. The test was with an animation I made before updating Krita to
3.1.2 and the audio clip was an mp3. The audio clip was about 5 or 6 seconds
long.

For now I went back to 3.1.1 because I started having other issues just
drawing. I may do more experimenting with different audio and such later if
more details (and maybe a screen recording?) would help.

[plasmashell] [Bug 375871] New: Drag functionality no longer working with minimized apps

2017-02-01 Thread Elvis Angelaccio
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=375871

Bug ID: 375871
Summary: Drag functionality no longer working with minimized
apps
   Product: plasmashell
   Version: 5.8.95
  Platform: Other
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: Task Manager
  Assignee: h...@kde.org
  Reporter: elvis.angelac...@kde.org
CC: plasma-b...@kde.org
  Target Milestone: 1.0

This seems to be a regression in 5.9. Dragging items towards apps minimized in
the task manager (e.g. Dolphin) no longer brings the app to the foreground,
making impossible to drop the item.

Used to work in Plasma 5.8.

This is because Qt mixes in different fonts, because your font does not have
complete Unicode coverage. Different fonts might have different widths.

[konsole] [Bug 375540] Seg fault on startup

2017-02-01 Thread Christoph Feck

It looks like there are ambiguous keyboard shortcuts. KXmlGui opens a message
box, and the crash could be related to the nested event loop in
QDialog::exec().

Try resetting your Konsole configuration, if you customized shortcuts.

this should be reported to QtWebEngine developers.

If everything fails, Okular should show them.

[plasmashell] [Bug 375869] New: Application menu crashes plasma 5

2017-02-01 Thread bugzilla_noreply
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=375869

Bug ID: 375869
Summary: Application menu crashes plasma 5
   Product: plasmashell
   Version: 5.9.0
  Platform: openSUSE RPMs
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Keywords: drkonqi
  Severity: crash
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
  Assignee: k...@davidedmundson.co.uk
  Reporter: pavestn...@protonmail.com
CC: bhus...@gmail.com, plasma-b...@kde.org
  Target Milestone: 1.0

Application: plasmashell (5.9.0)

Qt Version: 5.7.1
Frameworks Version: 5.30.0
Operating System: Linux 4.9.3-1-default x86_64
Distribution: "openSUSE Tumbleweed"

-- Information about the crash:
- What I was doing when the application crashed:
I was configuring the applications menu to try and integrate it to my desktop.

- Unusual behavior I noticed:
It crashed plasma. The button in button mode didn't have an icon and the full
menu's text is off.

Also, the mouse focus in the full menu is off by at least one button. That is,
where buttons are "File, Edit, Insert, etc.", if I hover over "File", it will
show "File" highlighted, then if I click on "File", it will do what you'd
expect, but if I move by a single pixel while staying on "File", it'll switch
to "Insert". The box it creates has proper focus, and I have to move
significantly to the left to properly select "File".

- Custom settings of the application:
It crashed once in full menu mode, but crashed several times in button mode.
I have a sloppy focus config that might be related to it, since it might
somehow switch focus to the bar while it's not expecting it. The focus is set
to "follows mouse - mouse precedence" delayed by 100ms.

I just want to say that I really appreciate all the work that you put into this
and the Plasma desktop is making a lot of great progress. It just keeps getting
better and better and never stales. I don't expect my software to be bug free
especially when I get it this early, but I can't wait to see what the future
holds. It has a lot of potential and I believe that with this much improvement
every release it's making good use of that potential. Thank you very much.

The crash can be reproduced every time.

ksmserver: Make sure stdout and stderr gets forwarded to .xsession-errors.

In my Debian Stretch system I noticed that no logging from

Just before opening a new bug I found that Jonathan Marten already
described just the exact same problem.

Please find attached a patch against Debian version of
plasma-workspace_5.8.4-1,
enabling the forwarding to ksmservers stdout/stderr.

Bug ID: 375868
Summary: Window decorations not rendering properly on HiDPI
   Product: kwin
   Version: 5.9.0
  Platform: Other
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal

 Component: decorations
  Assignee: kwin-bugs-n...@kde.org

Kwin decorations not rendering properly

I'm using KDE Neon with Plasma v5.9.0, KDE Frameworks v5.31.0 and Qt v5.7.1.

I'm running on a HiDPI configuration:

Resolution: 3200x1800
Scale Factor: 2

When I try to use any window decoration other than the ones that come with KDE
Neon such as Breeze or Plastik they work fine however when I try to use any of
the decorations that I've fetched from the KDE store Such as the Arc KDE
https://store.kde.org/p/1167637/ it looks OK on the preview but it does not
render properly when I activate it.

You can see in the attached screenshot the decorations don't get properly
rendered.

Thanks in Advance!
