[plasmashell] [Bug 376269] New: panel stays in front when a yellow task in the panel task manager

2017-02-09 Thread Bronson
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=376269

Bug ID: 376269
Summary: panel stays in front when a yellow task in the panel
task manager
   Product: plasmashell
   Version: 5.9.1
  Platform: Other
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: Panel

mellow yellow

Set panel to "windows can cover".
With this enabled I find that every now and then a yellow task (see the
screenshot) appears, and prevents the panel from going behind the active
window.

Its pretty frustrating, from this screenshot the firefox window is my active
window, which should be in front of the panel, but it is not because there is
some yellow task on a second monitor.

What is this, and can this behavior be fixed?

Works fine on Konsole 16.12.1, but to be able to right-clik and get the "Open
link" option you have to enable "Underline links" and/or "Underline files" in
the profile preferences (but this might be material for a sepparate bug
report).

On Konsole 16.12.1, vim's cursorline seems to work correctly.

But tput only underlines the single next line after pressing Enter, every
subsequent line is not undelined.

There's also a lot of artifacts: search some string with Ctrl+R and then cancel
or press ESC or Enter and the few last characters show duplicated.

Maybe both are related?

It does seem that it would make sense for a "bring forward all windows" to be
implemented. Then, the KDE customizable approach ought to allow that as an
option for *either* left or middle click. And there should be an option for the
current behavior of left-click to be used either for left or middle click.
Naively, I agree it seems this should be easy if not trivial to implement.

I would think this to be a rather easy feature to add? At least in the
icons-only task manager settings you have the middle click action option, an
action that brings all windows to the front in that drop down should be fairly
easy to implement by someone familiar with KDE dev?

Though from the sounds of it they want to change the behaviour of LMB instead
of using MMB, which is fair enough...? Is changing the action to that binding
difficult to have as an option?

[kwin] [Bug 376245] Mouse cursor changes size when pointer on Kwin window title bar

2017-02-09 Thread bugzilla_noreply

The issue seem to go away when I edit the SDDM config file, see
https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/SDDM#DPI_settings

The mouse cursor default to 24 instead of 48 when HiDPI setting is edited in
the config file instead of force font dpi in system setting. This is still not
as expected because I have a HiDPI screen and one would expect to get a default
size of 48. Anyway, just something to sort out.

The crash is happens if in the "Items" list we select "Functions" and/or

It seems the problem is in model class or/and in DUChain backend, which provide
functions/classes information.

[plasmashell] [Bug 376265] New: font dpi settings breaks konsole

2017-02-09 Thread Bronson
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=376265

Bug ID: 376265
Summary: font dpi settings breaks konsole
   Product: plasmashell
   Version: 5.9.1
  Platform: Other
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
  Assignee: k...@davidedmundson.co.uk
  Reporter: bronsonmath...@gmail.com
CC: bhus...@gmail.com, plasma-b...@kde.org
  Target Milestone: 1.0

Ive noticed that the konsole app kind of acts weird when you set a custom font
dpi scaling ( I believe thats the cause anyway?). For example im forcing it to
100 to scale all the fonts to a comfortable size.

After doing this it seems that the font in the konsole app changes, and that
the cursor is off to the right, making it a pain to copy paste and use the app.

And if you click and drag in the app, the text changes size under the
selection.

2017-02-09 Thread bugzilla_noreply

Bug ID: 376263
Summary: Color leak in title bar
   Product: kwin
   Version: 5.8.5
  Platform: Other
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR

Created attachment 103939

titlebar color leak illustration

I am using a custom color theme for my Plasma 5.85. There seem to be some color
leak issues going on for the title bar. The relevant part from the .colors file
is as follows:

[WM]
activeBackground=21,101,192
activeBlend=20,19,18
activeForeground=187,222,251
inactiveBackground=216,27,96
inactiveBlend=219,219,219
inactiveForeground=240,98,146

My active foreground is blue and inactive foreground pink. And the issue is
that the pink leaks into the active window's title bar (sometimes blue will
also leak into inactive title bar). Not sure what caused it but really
annoying. I don't think this issue is specific to my custom color theme. Other
custom themes can also demonstrate this issue.

[KScreen] [Bug 374708] Confusing design of Resolution slider (need redisign)

2017-02-09 Thread Laptander
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=374708

Also, I surprisingly discovered, that drop-down list IS ALREADY implemented. I
have a setup of two monitors and when I clicked on one of them in Kscreen, a
drop-down list of possible resolution appeared. At the same time, clicking on
other monitor showed a slider.
I do not know how KScreen decides which interface to show, but I suggest it may
show drop-down because of lots of possible resolutions available for one of
monitor. But it may also be because of different interface (vga/hdmi) used,
however I doubt it.

2017-02-09 Thread Laptander
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=374708

I do not stick out for drop down, but answering your question. Drop-down
explicitly shows you which resolution is choosen.
You still cannot change resolution with just one click if slider is used. You
should move pointer of slider to some wanted position, but you cannot see which
values all these positions have. You can only see min and max value, but for
knowing any middle resolition, you should move slider to that position.
Drop-down list does not have such issue.

Using installation iso from here:

1- Burn iso to USB drive
2- Boot USB and install to hard drive (1 TB SATA)
3- Installer (ubiquity?) gets to the end and is stuck on screen "The installer
will finish soon. We hope you enjoy Kubuntu." Rebooting leads to unbootable
hard drive.(blank screen)

I've tried two different hard drives (both 1TB). Same result.
I've used the 'entire disk' with and without LVM options during the GUI
installation.

Note. 32bit version is being used intentionally.

[kaffeine] [Bug 376206] Kaffeine partly not translated

2017-02-09 Thread bugzilla_noreply
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=376206

Thanks for your answer.

Version from RPMFusion:
Version 2.0.5
KDE Frameworks 5.29.0
Qt 5.7.1 (kompiliert gegen 5.7.1)
Das xcb Fenstersystem

My self compiled version (from git) shows the same information under "about
kaffeine".

But: Now I installed the package qt5-qttranslations-5.7.1-1.fc25.noarch and now
the "Cancel" and "OK" Buttons are translated. So this seems to be a packaging
issue. Probably this problem occurs, as I do not use KDE but gnome. And so no
KDE language packages were pre-installed. Not sure how to fix this in a smart
way. But seems to be a packaging problem, right?

What is still not translated:

- The "open file" dialogue. The title is "Dateien öffnen", but the buttons are
still on English (Cancel, Open, "Supported Media Files"), actually everything
in the window is still in English, apart from the title. Seems to be a gnome
window.

- The "enabled/disabled" in the "Recording Schedule" window as described above.

- And there is a new string "Search transponders for other Networks", which is
not translated into German, yet. I do not know if it means to search within
transponders for other networks or if it means to search for transponders for
other networks, so I can't translate it.

[frameworks-kxmlgui] [Bug 375555] Opening KDE apps gives multiples notifications about: "There are two actions(...) that want to use the same shortcut"

2017-02-09 Thread Albert Astals Cid
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=37

--- Comment #12 from Albert Astals Cid ---
Isn't the "don't warn me about this again" checkbox working for you?

You can find the kate shorcuts defined in
$HOME/.local/share/kxmlgui5/kate/kateui.rc

e.g. i have

Do you have the shortcuts duplicated there?

Can you check if maybe you have some other stray kateui.rc file somewhere in
your hardisk? For that do
  strace kate &> Q
then close kate
and then
  grep kateui.rc Q | grep "= 0"
and attach the results here

When music plays the plasmoid icon is a triangle opposite to what is commonly
used for the playing state (the two vertical lines). Also if you click on the
plasmoid and open the dropdown the icon there is the two vertical lines. When
the player is paused the opposite is happening.

-- Information about the crash:
- What I was doing when the application crashed:

I have the new 5.9 widget "global menu" for the menu of windows. Almost every
time I change the activities by pressing META+TAB, plasma crashes. I think it
happens when the change of activity implies a change of window focus. I have
not notice it happened when I use the activities button and menu.

The crash can be reproduced every time.

Accidentally submitted bug report instead of saving attachment.

When an SDL 2 program is running, the taskbar loses its transparency and a
black square appears in the place of the start button (see attachments). This
does not happen with SDL 1 programs and can be reproduced by compiling
windowtitle.cpp from https://github.com/crust/sdl2-examples with the 'g++
windowtitle.cpp -o windowtitle -lSDL2' command.

Or restart the discussion about whether new features should be implemented in
that Qt printing subsystem, given that the new promised class apparently did
not materialize?

The status was the correct one for our workflow.

The QT report has been live since 2012 and is "won't fix" for now and deferred,
perhaps it is time for okular (and others) to simply implement a dialogue that
has this functionality rather than wait several more years?

I note this was set to "resolved" "upstream" but it does not appear to be
resolved upstream - perhaps "verified" "wontfix" is more appropriate?

[gwenview] [Bug 364805] Gwenview fails to open images with russian letters in path - Invalid url QUrl("") or file or path does not exist

2017-02-09 Thread Christoph Feck
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=364805

If you change from UTF-8 to UTF-8 no changes will be made. Please use a
different -f encoding, convmv will automatically skip files that are already
UTF-8.

For example, if the files you are trying to view come from old unzip, the
filenames are usually "latin1" encoded. For Cyrillic names, try "koi8r" or
"koi8u". https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cyrillic_script#Computer_encoding
section "Other" lists more encodings.

> convmv -f latin1 -t utf8 -r ~/
Starting a dry run without changes...
Skipping, already UTF-8: /home/pepo/gedämpfte-schwingung.fkt
Skipping, already UTF-8: /home/pepo/.cache/favicons/åc.dk.png
No changes to your files done. Would have converted 0 files in 5 seconds.
Use --notest to finally rename the files.

You're right, I could do that quite easily. When importing the attached .csv
into the attached .kmy, KMyMoney fails to match any of the transactions, though
they should match 6 of the 7 transactions in the .kmy file. The payee names
differ, but the amounts are the same, and all payees in the .kmy are set to "No
matching."

I am still running KMyMoney 4.7.2 and tested with that version.
