The first part (SUDO_EDITOR=kwrite) is to set the environment variable SUDO_EDITOR to kwrite and the later part (sudoedit ) is to start the specified editor. [plasmashell] [Bug 381780] New: Copy completion notifications sometimes incorrectly appear in top-left
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=381780 Bug ID: 381780 Summary: Copy completion notifications sometimes incorrectly appear in top-left Product: plasmashell Version: 5.10.2 Platform: Other OS: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: Notifications Assignee: k...@privat.broulik.de Reporter: saurav1@gmail.com CC: mklape...@kde.org Target Milestone: 1.0 Sometimes, the notification for completion of copying files, etc., appears in the top-left corner of the desktop instead of in the bottom-right corner with the default horizontal bottom layout of the main panel. This appears to be a regression since either Plasma 5.10, or Frameworks 5.35, I'm not sure which. I never experienced it with 5.9.x/5.34. The problem does not occur every time, which makes it difficult to reproduce. Also, turning the notifications applet off and on, or moving it out of the system tray does not help. There was a similar case with Plasma 4: see bug #314831, but it seems that it was never fixed. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

However, if I wait and the popup loads, then If I evoke it again on the same window (e.g. I press delete on another file and a window appears to prompt me to send it to trash) it now loads instantly. https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=376172 --- Comment #5 from obno...@gmail.com --- I'm having the same (or a very similar) problem with 5.34 and I've had it for months (perhaps since 5.32), with a theme that worked perfectly for years (github.com/obnosim/velours) and which I have not changed significantly around the time or since the problem happened. See the attachment. You might also notice that the airplane icon is invisible (it seemed related for some reason; it happened at the same time and fiddling with the checkboxes makes it come back but with weird dimensions). plasmathemeexplorer displays checkboxes correctly (as seen in the attachment too) but only if I select my theme in it, then select another one, then select mine again (it's reproducible). It seems it needs two runs to get the metrics right (and even then it's borked, as the darker checked area was previously crisp and now it's blurry at best). openSUSE Tumbleweed x86_64 I remember the bug being there when I was running Qt 5.7, Plasma 5.9 and Frameworks 5.33. [okular] [Bug 381773] Okular & Reverse search
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=381773 --- Comment #3 from Luigi Toscano--- (In reply to Louis Krüger from comment #2) > I wouldn't call it resolved, I would call it ignored or rejected. Unless it can't be reproduced on a newer system, and given the change to the code and the rest of the stack (including texlive), it is realistically not possible to reproduce it. This is not an uncommon case; it happens every time the life of a long term distribution outlives the support provided by upstream (think of the Debian stable, Ubuntu LTS, CentOS, but also FreeBSD stable). In this case the support moves to the downstream (the distribution). > Well Slackware 14.2 does not deploy kde5 and I experienced the same when > I ran arch until last month. Few points about this: - there are newer release of the kdelibs4 version of Okular (0.26 was the last one, compare with 0.20, 6 releases of delta); they can be perfectly compiled on Slackware. - if the bug can be reproduced on a newer version, an updated backtrace is needed, and a reproducer too (a document which triggers it, with the source). - there is no such thing called kde5. The newer version of Okular is an application based on Qt5 which uses also some libraries released as part of the KDE Frameworks "product" (which is in fact a bundle of library). -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
