[valgrind] [Bug 382083] New: Failure to detect MUSL consistently.
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=382083 Bug ID: 382083 Summary: Failure to detect MUSL consistently. Product: valgrind Version: 3.13.0 Platform: Compiled Sources OS: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: general Assignee: jsew...@acm.org Reporter: i1243...@mvrht.net Target Milestone: --- On some platforms (tested on the following), Valgrind 3.13.0 will fail to configure/compile/link against the MUSL 1.1.16 library. Other versions have not been tested, though other versions may also be affected. MUSL provides a GCC wrapper called 'musl-gcc' which loads a GCC '.conf' file on top of the system GCC, though these changes are not actually printed when the '-dumpversion' flag is used. This flag is used to test whether MUSL is being used; and in this case, the configure script(s) fail to detect MUSL and die with an error about not having glibc >= 2.2. A simple workaround is provided below, following the steps to replicate the issue. $ uname -a Linux hostname 3.10.0-514.21.1.el7.x86_64 #1 SMP Thu May 25 17:04:51 UTC 2017 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux $ gcc --version gcc (GCC) 4.8.5 20150623 (Red Hat 4.8.5-11) (1) Compile and install MUSL 1.1.16: $ wget http://www.musl-libc.org/releases/musl-1.1.16.tar.gz $ tar -xf musl-1.1.16.tar.gz $ cd musl-1.1.16 $ ./configure --prefix=$HOME/musl --disable-shared $ make -j`nproc` install (2) Attempt to compile Valgrind 3.13.0: $ wget ftp://sourceware.org/pub/valgrind/valgrind-3.13.0.tar.bz2 $ tar -xjf valgrind-3.13.0.tar.bz2 $ cd valgrind-3.13.0 $ CC=$HOME/musl/bin/musl-gcc \ ./configure --prefix=$HOME/valgrind (3) Observe that it prints the following, then exits: configure: error: Valgrind requires glibc version 2.2 or later, uClibc, (4) To remedy the issue, run: $ sed -e 's@-dumpmachine |@-v |\&@' -i configure* # gets .ac too $ CC=$HOME/musl/bin/musl-gcc \ ./configure --prefix=$HOME/valgrind $ make -j`nproc` install (5) Observe that Valgrind is successfully configured, compiled, installed. [frameworks-kidletime] [Bug 328987] Power saving should not trigger if joystick is in use
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=328987 Andreas Hartmetz changed: What|Removed |Added CC||ahartm...@gmail.com --- Comment #18 from Andreas Hartmetz --- Most games do, in fact, inhibit power saving. If you have a game running and open the energy management tray thingie, it will even tell you the name of the game blocking power saving (unfortunately, most don't bother changing the default so they are called something like "an SDL application"). AFAIK the power management inhibition is tied to the DBus name of the application. If the application dies, its DBus name vanishes, and the inhibition is removed as well. All these are not reasons against a workaround for sloppily programmed games, I am just saying that the power management inhibition system works very well when it is used. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[kdeplasma-addons] [Bug 382081] New: Selection should only follow the mouse cursor when you move it.
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=382081 Bug ID: 382081 Summary: Selection should only follow the mouse cursor when you move it. Product: kdeplasma-addons Version: 5.10.3 Platform: Neon Packages OS: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: minor Priority: NOR Component: Application Dashboard Assignee: h...@kde.org Reporter: lct...@outlook.com CC: plasma-b...@kde.org Target Milestone: --- If you try to navigate the dashboard using the arrows on the keyboard and the mouse cursor happens to be on a point where it can change the selection of the grid, the selection comes back immediately to the element where the mouse cursor is. This makes impossible to navigate the grid only with the keyboard until you put aside the mouse cursor on a place where it can't toggle the selection of any element of the grid. This problem doesn't happen on the filter list on the right of the dashboard, if you put the mouse cursor over the list you can navigate the list normally and the selection only changes if you move the mouse. How to reproduce: 1.-Open the dashboard. 2.-Put the mouse cursor on any place where it can highlight any element of any of the grid views of the dashboard. Current behavior: If you try to navigate the grid with the arrows of the keyboard the selection comes back to where the mouse cursor is. Expected behavior: Even if the mouse is highlighting an element of the grid if you should be able to navigate the grid with the arrows of the keyboard and the selection should only change if the user moves the mouse. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[krita] [Bug 382079] Kra files don't open anymore
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=382079 --- Comment #1 from wolthera --- Some more research: Ora files do load correctly. So do pngs, jpegs, etc. Similarly, when I add to "KisImportExportManager::doImport" two debug statements around KisImportExportFilter::ConversionStatus status = filter->convert(m_document, &file, KisPropertiesConfigurationSP()); I get those debug statements, but when I add debug statements to KraImport::convert(), they don't show up. Anything with QML will just crash on your platform b/c Qt5Declarative initialization code is running into a qFatal(...) if it detects you don't have SSE2 support in your CPU. I would expect Krita to suggest saving it as BBB.png That happens because in KisMainWindow::saveDocument() we save both lastExportUrl and lastExportMimeType, and reuse them after the first save. I would expect it to save mime type only. WISHGROUP: Small Usability Fixes -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=380942 Josef Weidendorfer changed: What|Removed |Added Status|UNCONFIRMED |ASSIGNED Ever confirmed|0 |1 --- Comment #2 from Josef Weidendorfer --- Nice! State transitions look good. Getting read of the empty Ir simulation can be done after merging. But to really distinguish between true and false sharing, remembering the last access is not really enough. It may identify true sharing as false sharing. E.g. multiple accesses from the same thread could cover all of a cache line, yet it is identified as false sharing if the first access of another thread does not overlap with the last access of the original thread. The real solution would be to maintain a bitmap (on a 64-bit architecture, using a 64-bit integer for a cacheline size of 64 bytes is a perfect match). Updating the bitmap may be slightly slower, but checking for overlap is just an AND operation. I actually do that in the simulator for "cache use"; we can copy it from there. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

Committed on 06/07/2017 at 17:14. Pushed by graesslin into branch 'Plasma/5.10'. [qpa] Prevent crash due to Surface getting null Summary: This is a regression due to changes in Breeze to support Qt 5.8+ behavior change. KWin's own QPA operates like < Qt 5.7 and breeze was programmed against that. Due to that it can happen now that Breeze hits code paths in which KWin does not have a surface. To trigger one only needed to open the user actions menu twice. This change adds a test case which simulates the problem and fixes all crashes happening in the code path. Most likely shadows are now broken for KWin's own windows, this change is only to prevent the crash and thus is for 5.10 branch, while shadow fixing will go to master branch. [frameworks-plasma] [Bug 382070] New: Desktop notifications are too large
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=382070 Bug ID: 382070 Summary: Desktop notifications are too large Product: frameworks-plasma Version: 5.34.0 Platform: Other OS: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: components Assignee: notm...@gmail.com Reporter: barade.bar...@web.de Target Milestone: --- Created attachment 106469 --> https://bugs.kde.org/attachment.cgi?id=106469&action=edit A screenshot of a notification I don't know if this is part of the Plasma project or of a the single notification applet but the notifications are too large. On Fedora I got a notification every second because of a problem and I couldn't read anything on my browser anymore. Since the notifications pop up on the monitor where my mouse/focus is, it is quite annoying. Maybe add line breaks or ... symbols to make to them smaller. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

However it should be fixable in the source as there is clearly a problem with the conversion from minutes into hours.
